The Honda CR-Z is hybrid with a six speed manual. While not a turbo a supercharger is available.

With all the R&D Nissan did on the Syncro-rev match manual technology I doubt they would ditch it on the next generation Zed.

Oil changes are pretty regular. The usual Mobil 1 0w-40a and filter. Nothing crazy. The brakes will last you a good while depending on if you track. It's only when your out of warranty, mod the car (bolt ons are acceptable; no turbo upgrades, etc.), and drive it hard all the time is where it costs a lot. I've had my fair share of experiences with the GTR. It's a great car, but the Z is a different driving feel all together. Definitely two different cars.

Back on topic, I hope the really bring out something worth waiting for. Back in 09, I thought the upgrade to the VQ37 motors were pretty good, but I still don't get how come they haven't changed anything for 6 years straight in regards to the power train.

Why was there a Civic on the article? Yeah, that was a badly written article.

"It’s rumored that this powerplant might use a hybrid system similar to Honda’s Integrate Motor Assist (IMA) system. That basically means that the electric motor will be fitted between the engine and transmission"

probably why that pic was in there.

It does not even have an author credited to it, so I just figure it's some sloppy cut and paste Search Engine Optimization designed to attract traffic and nothing else. There is literally nothing in that "article" that I have not already read elsewhere, except for the price -- that is outlandishly low compared to all other guesses.

And Nissan would never rename the next line of Z's to its codename. Since Infiniti used to measure the displacement of the engine in their models using G37, G35, FX45, etc. That would give some buyers the impression that the Z had a 3.5 litre engine.

They need a damn sun roof option, or at least a glass roof for the new Z. They also should design it like the S30, I know the Z34 has distinctions of the old Z (the windows mainly) but it would be cool to see bucket headlights again haha Oh, and a twin turbo!

I remember the rumor of a targa top circled around for am inute. I hope that is an option.

I hate the Z33 and Z34 convertibles. just ruins the shape of that amazing body. now if you throw it back to the older Z's with the T-tops or a targa top then that would be sweet. still has that iconic shape but you can have a little sky as well.

Yes sorry... Targa top > T-top. I would be happy with either one. I completely agree with you on the roadster models.
