Getting in/out of 370z

So I tried using the search but didnt see anything so am i the only one who is curios about this or do i now know how to search. How does everyone get in and out of there Z. Getting in to the z doesnt seem as bad i just kinda drop myself into the car lol :ugh2: but getting out of the car i usually stick left leg out and use my left elbow on the seat bolster as leverage and push myself out :icon23:. I havent thought of any other way. i dont mind it i do it on a daily basis and its not like my car is slammed to the floor just on swift springs but i do kinda notice that it seems like my seat bolster is starting to show some wear.

You think its bad now, you should see me try and do it gracefully in front of some hot girls with the brides! Lol

Only good thing is you have to warn the ladies when getting in or they could cause pain to their undercarriage due to the stiff waist bolsters.. Nice way to break the ice. :rofl2: :ugh2:

I tried out a Nismo Juke a few days ago. Seats are very comfortable, but I can't imagine slamming my hip into that side bolster on the seat everyday getting in and out.

JARblue 11-07-2014 03:00 PM

Yup. 60K miles and my driver side bolster nearest the door is definitely showing signs of wear.

cooltoy 11-07-2014 03:01 PM

Leather?

JARblue 11-07-2014 03:02 PM

Nope. Cloth. I expect leather would wear even faster.

Zcoupe 11-07-2014 03:05 PM

i dont think the leather would wear as fast but maybe wrinkle and get cracked pushing those 190lbs daily on it im sure would take a toll. Just thought it was funny to see if everyone gets out of it the same way fitting in the car isnt the issue im not super tall or wide. Leg days at the gym and after a massive feast are always fun to get out of too lol

I gracefully fall in (I am a goalie and used to falling) and then push off somewhat to miss the side bolster (reduce wear). Getting out is not a problem.

I've worn off the dye in streaks (probably where it wrinkles when you push on the bolster) on the left bolster of my driver's side leather seat.

Speaking of which - anyone know where I can get some dye (black interior)? Just hit up a local upholsterer, or does Nissan sell the correct matching dye?
