The best way!
1.Rev the engine up for about a minute in neutral but DO NOT DROP it in D. The brake should be depressed for safety.
2. Once you stop revving, Place car in D stomp on the gas with VDC ON the first gear. While in second quickly take VDC OFF and shift into third gear. Make sure you redline the first 4 gears but prevent over-revving.

You don't need all that brake drama. It will slow you down. If you want? You can do a burn out to heat up the tires before following my instructions. But that gas brake shyt will actually slow u down.

I thought the Z has a built-in rev limiter (or so I've read on this forum from time-to-time)...

But you get a good jump off the line with little initial wheel spin and a high torque hit & the same time. it has done pretty good against v8's.

It's really not though. I'm just being descriptive.
