2015 nismo tech in auto is the path I'm going with

MJB and those who claim gear ratios on the auto have NOT changed. The auto went from 3:36 to 3:69.

The auto will still be faster

The manual was originally a 3:69 and went up to 3.91

Lol, I never claimed anything. I had no idea the 7AT had a 3:36 rear. Pretty cool FYI, I'll never consider buying an auto Z, but cool non the less.

Clarification of your side note. It is borderline misinformation. Many people speak on the auto from ratios to performance etc... but it's always convoluted and told on hearsay.

OP don't be pressured into buying a manual if you don't feel comfortable with it. Some guys may try to make fun of you for having an auto but who cares. This isn't the 90's. Back then when it came to sports cars manuals were better in almost every way when it came to sports cars.

Personally I prefer a manual Z. It helps me feel more connected with the car. But for the sake of not making this yet another AT vs M debate and to steer this back on topic.... My first manual car was a Sentra S-ER Spec V. It was a 6 spd. I had to get my dad to test drive it for me and have a friend drive it from the dealership to my house lol. I didn't know how to drive a stick yet. I sat in my drive way for about 30 mins just moving the car about 30 ft back and forth in 1st and reverse. It was foreign but I got the hang of it enough to go out and drive it around the neighborhood. It took me about a week to get really comfortable with it. Now when I drive my Z, I honest don't even notice that I'm changing gears. Even in heavy traffic, I never really think about it. Its just a part of driving now.

Hopefully after your driving course you will have a better understanding and will be able to make a more informed decision based on YOUR preferences. Good luck OP!
