The sig system is designed so we do not have to see a bunch of cr*p all the time. It is a pretty common system on more advanced boards using who prefer to keep things looking "cleaner"

We have a rather healthy section designated for people to share their car information and more, do not need to see if 24/7 in your sig.

Really? So a specific forum on X car is being more unbiased. Not saying the Z board here is going to give an unbiased answer or "look out for your finances," but that is a very pathetic reason.

LOL... Hmm I wonder how many folks felt insecure enough in their purchase to not only take the time of day to make an account here but also bash the forum lol... my count so far is at 5...

Seriously tho - they are both sick cars... need a back seat? like a stock turbo? get the bimmer... dont care for the "luxuries" and want a nimble car for the curves on the road - get the Z...

If you care about straight line speed - and you are going to spend < 8k on your car overall -- get the bimmer ... if you are going to spend more get the Z as once they are both FI'd its all about who spends more money and time on their car..

If you are going to keep them stock - its a wash - drive em and pick em...

For me, the only image that matters to me is the one I'm thinking about in my head, and that's me being behind the wheel, hanging the *** out, and loving the driving experience. Hell, look at the cars I own. One of them gets called a "mullet mobile" on a weekly basis, while the other one continuously gets called a "ricer." Know what? I guess I'm a ricer with a mullet, and I really don't care, because in the end, I have a straight-line sledgehammer and a "canyon carver."

I never understood the whole, "What kind of image I would be portraying" thing. Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought that "image" was based on personal hygiene and the way one carried himself/herself, NOT by the car one drove.

A lot of people get cars for image. That's one of many reasons to buy a car... It's not wrong. Why buy a Movado watch when you can buy a Fossil or Swiss? Why buy an LV bag when you can buy any other kind of bag? etc. etc. you get my drift, people want to be portrayed as this or that possibly.

Well I did link the forums/discussions together... It's only natural that someone who loves their car defend it in enemy territory. Seems like BMW guys are much more fanatical about their cars, since none of you 370zrs decided to join the other forum.

It is childish, I know, but it's a pro IMO for the 335i.

LOL - too funny. Someone obviously posted a link from some Beemer thread to this one I think its funny when a troll posts he drive's a 370Z and drives something else...

Anyhow what I would suggest is keep the Accord and finish school. Buy a house. Once you are financially secure then get your toys. Most of the people I knew who went out and bought their toys when they could barely afford them are still renting and I doubt they'll ever own their own place.

That being said... if I was looking for a 4 seater I'd get an '07-08 G35 but I wasn't so I got the 370Z. But really who cares what I got - go test drive both cars! You'll figure it out pretty quick. I think the best test drive ever would be to take the car to a track/autocross and drive the nuts off both of them. That's the only thing that shows you how the car really performs.

I am leaning to the 370z, but man o man was that a hard choice. Each car has it's own merits, and each car is a good choice. I am going with the 370z simply because I can get it new and make it my baby, not adopt someone else's.

Fanatical?
So having free time to go around the internet to another forum which has nothing to do with your car and begin posting. Sorry, but I have time to enjoy my car and share my wisdom with others on the Z boards here. No need to jump around to BMW/GM/Ford/etc. forums and look for threads about the Z and defend it.

I think there has been plenty talked about here, really, just go test drive both and pick one. No one here can make that choice for you or should ever pick for you, it is your car & money.

Quality. That's why I would buy a Movado over a Fossil. It's the same reason I bought my wife a Coach purse instead of a Liz Claiborne. Sure, the image comes with it, but so does the quality.

An Si driver poking fun at a Miata driver in a 370Z forum? Good times lol.

OP: I had a feeling you'd be more comfortable with something new rather than pre-owned. I'm the same way, almost to a fault.

rated at a 13.5, with some hitting 13.4, Z's stock are doing 13.2's all day. The Z is the faster car, sorry to crush your dreams fellas.
2007 BMW 335i Sedan - Short Take Road Test - Auto Reviews - Car and Driver

oh and BTW, I shat upon one at the drags this past sunday, will post vid/pics in the media section.
I've run 13.1 stock w/ the excellent RFT's at the HRP track. It's not impossible, but i digress.. caranddriver is the end all be all.

And of course the 11.3 second pass was not a stock car. I posted the quickest 370z pass to date, which is 12.8 (and also not stock).

The 11.7 (former record) was run tune only by a 335i. $500~ mod.

I like when this topic comes up. Vishnu is one of many tuning companies by the way (and not the largest).

Nothing instantly voids a warranty.

The ECU has no idea (when shut down properly) that anything has been done to it. Are you talking about flashes? Which is becoming more popular in the e92 community now.

I'm at 30,000 miles without a single maintenance issue.

I'm not trying to argue, but to dispell the common bs/myths that regard these cars in general. As seen, I dealt with nicknick earlier.

don't know what it is like in USA but here in Aus, mostly men drive mx5's and curiosly I have noticed a large chunk of women driving cars like z4 and slk's etc. I guess the mx5 is a little too raw. BTW i am married. mx5 is a girls car=myth, go drive a new one and see. anyway hope you could see past your childish observation and understand what I was getting at. Saving to buy a Zed
