Nope, sold it to a prior Porsche owner in Seattle.

By paper the 5.0 is faster. It's launching then that kills them at the strip. For all the average Joes it's a drivers race. The automatic Z launches hard and quick while the stang hops and jumps out the hole. The challengers are overweight and can easily be beat. Camaros are the same too. Once they put a few mods on them it's over tho but stock for stock the 6 banger Z will win more than you think.

I'm talking about who beats who at the drag strip and yes I stated the 5.0 is the faster car or is it? Only the boss and up are running consistent 12's where I go and there are always mustangs there. A lot of them.

Ok... maybe they aren't as good of a driver as you are. Hate playing devils advocate, but its ok to acknowledge that some cars are faster than a Z and maybe we should ease up on the pride a little. I could care less about drag racing and certainly don't give 2 ***** about a Mustang, but its been proven time and time again from reviews that the newer 5.0's are consistent high 12 cars. But you are right, the average joe probably can't achieve that time to save his life, however the car is definitely capable of it. I thought this was a Brz vs Z thread anyways?

Go buy your viper or c7 and move on. If you don't know anything about the drag strip and don't care why are you saying something? I beat a lot of American muscle cars there quite often and I will beat the crap out of any BRZ or FRS out there too. Am I back on topic for you now?

I'm sure you have. Because everything someone claims on the internet has to be true. How come in every thread when another vehicle is mentioned, you have to jump in and talk about how much faster your Z is and how you've beaten so many of them at the track? I'm surprised you haven't started another 6mt vs 7at debate. And bro, why you mad?

IMO if you're comparing your Z to a 2011+ Mustang you bought the wrong car. You're going to lose the HP battle every time unless you're FI and he isn't.
Sure, a full bolt-on Z *might* hold its own in the 1/4 against a stock 5.0 with a sh*tty driver. So what? What happens when the 5.0 gets 300 series tires, control arms and a tune? You're comparing a V8 muscle car and a V6 sports car, two totally different types of vehicle. If all you want is speed get a Mustang. Period. End of discussion. Want it to handle? Buy some coil-overs and brace it up; it'll wee-wee on your Z around a track. Need even more power? Add a Vortech and flip off the GTR drivers as you pass them. Know why I don't have a Mustang anymore? Because they're all over the damn place and there's a lot more to owning a car than how fast it goes. I'm sure there are EVOs and STIs that can hand a Z its @ss as well, but at the end of the day they're still just economy cars with AWD and turbo. If you can't appreciate your Z for what it is, sell it to someone who can.

I don't know if Vortech mustangs will be passing GT-Rs on the track. But yes, it is definitely faster than the Z stock and modded.

I haven't been in the BRZ/FRS forums, but other car forums I frequent regularly usually speak highly of the 370z. I remember I posted a picture of my Nismo in the Viper forum and everybody absolutely loved it.
