This is going to be a crazy generalization, but find an exhaust that costs between 1K and $1500 new and buy one of them. There are several known good brands and they all cost somewhere in that range. Also, check out the used market. Forum members are parting out or switching exhausts quite frequently around here.
TLDR - If the exhaust seems to be too cheap or too expensive, it's probably not worth your time or money. I should add that this doesn't take the JDM market into account, where there is crazy mark up. Besides, most of them are solid setups as well.
