Best cold air intake for 370z nismo?

Looking at a couple cai to buy. Did a little research and saw that most people like the sound and the power coming out of the Stillen Gen 3. Any other ideas?

i see your from white marsh . about 35 mins away you have aam . there intake set up is pretty nice and makes good power . the aam set up is a few bucks cheaper than the stillen gen 3 .

Are you from around this area?? But the gains are smaller depending on the configuration of the R/S line installation compared to the stillen gen 3

i live just north of balt in harford co


just outside bel air is where i rest my head .

they are smaller when set up in the s line configuration but whos actually gonna install them in the s line set up ? im deff gonna go r line ( without the maf adapters ) and have the car pro tuned . but im also going catless so id be dumb not to pro tune it . on average people are seeing about 325 wheel with r line , catless , decent exhaust and a pro tune . this is the route im going .

But as far as cai ,,,,takeda is similar to style of aam or stillen and is cheaper.

From what I know I say work from back to front if going to do multiple mods.

Just realized you have nismo so your exhaust is already good. I would start with test pipes, then cai, then intake mani and uprevtune.

I don't really like the exhaust it comes with. one of my friends told me about armytrix so I might wait a bit and get that

This is going to be a crazy generalization, but find an exhaust that costs between 1K and $1500 new and buy one of them. There are several known good brands and they all cost somewhere in that range. Also, check out the used market. Forum members are parting out or switching exhausts quite frequently around here.

TLDR - If the exhaust seems to be too cheap or too expensive, it's probably not worth your time or money.

I should add that this doesn't take the JDM market into account, where there is crazy mark up. Besides, most of them are solid setups as well.

I'd go G3 on the intake. Seems most folks go that route. That was my first mod and it's a good product. I agree with what aszyd said. I'd stick to the better known brands for bolt-on mods. No sense reinventing the wheel and taking chances with your money or the quality/performance of a little known product. My mods are in my signature line and I'm happy with the results.
