So, my track tyres are 265/35R18 on 9.5" wide wheels all round (square setup), +22 in front and +12 on rear. I could go +12 on front and +0 on rear but would need to roll inner fender lips.

My DD wheels are 8.5 front an 9.5 rear and I now run 245/45R18 fronts and 275/40R18 rears to get the gearing with the 4.08:1 diff gears I now run as close to OEM as I can.

Before the diff gears were changed, I ran 245/40R18 front and 275/35R18 rear as DD tyres.

What you cannot do is use tyres with OD more than 4-5mm diameter difference as that will confused the stability control.

- OEM Front spec: 245/45/18
- OEM Rear spec: 275/40/18

Why do you want to run a smaller sidewall on the front?

It will lower your front by about an inch.

245/40 = 25.7 inch tire height
245/45 = 26.7 inch tire height

Nope. It will only lower the ride height by 1/2".
