There's been no new Z ever confirmed, recent interviews seem like they don't even know if there will be a next gen Z. Even if there is one they're saying it would have to be an Idx version which would take years to develop like 2018 or 2019 at the earliest... It's 2014 right now.. Not really looking good, and Im sure they're not making money off selling 370z "s they just refreshed the nismo to promote the nismo crap that adds no engine performance really just a high price tag for suspension tweaks and fancy red trims.

Sucks too because I'm in the market for a new sporty car around $35,000 or under and my options suck. No way I would get an frs or something.

Seriously? For $35k you can get quite a few sporty cars. For sporty muscle, Mustang GT, nifty handling and practical 228I, all purpose and awd WRX STI, for a combo of decent power & handling , plus good look, a Sport Z.

Get off your butt and into the game as you can't win, unless you play. If you you want to keep moaning than

You're making assumptions based on speculation and opinions formed from the rumor mill. Dude, stop complaining already, spend $28,000 and get a mustang ecoboost so you and your mustang neighbors can bond. And you'll have $7,00 for mods. You can go to the ford forum and be productive instead of whining so damn much here... Happy hunting.

Aren't Porsche Cayman and 911, mid & rear engine, respectively? Those setups are what enable faster acceleration with "about the same hp & torque." There's no magic or "German engineering" to that part.

I disagree that the 370 or prior Zs were meant to be a "cheaper alternative" to Porsches. I always thought they were cheaper alternatives to Corvettes, with the exception of the Z32 TT.
