September 370Z sales down to 802 units ...
Nissan 370 Z sales recorded the 6th month in a row of declining sales from a high of 1632 sold in Mar. 09 to 802 sales in Sep. 09..........

Considering this is the remaining 2009 cars left people are being picky and getting exactly what they want. Also, they only made 10k and as of August they sold about 9100 so there are not that many left in the US.

Good: I don't want the 370Z to be ubiquitous like the 350Z, 300ZX or any "best selling" car for that matter. Too much circulation brings down the price. That's why 350's look so bland, because they're so common.
The only reason people can buy these "at invoice" is because the economy sucks, Minicoopers were selling at sticker for years since their inception (2002) until this bad economy...Oh, could that be the reason the 370 doesn't sell well? |

My Z doesn't burn any gas at all when it's in the garage.

Generally the first year of a new model is the best sales year, however if the economy recovers, the trend could be to higher sales down the line. If 370Z sales do not live up to Nissan's reduced expectations, then I stand by my previous prediction that 2012 will be the last year of 370Z production.

Good, then I'll have the first year of the last model. Anyway, the 2010's will be hitting the road soon so in a crappy economy why, if you are having money problems, buy a car that's a year old and automatically will depreciate faster than waiting a few months for the 2010? The numbers do not scare me. It's just because we're at the end of the production year. |
(NNA) reported September 2009 sales of 55,393 units versus 59,565 units last year, a decrease of 7 percent. Nissan Division sales declined 5.8 percent, while sales of Infiniti vehicles were 15 percent lower than a year ago.

American market really very BIG,in my small island until now[6 months] less than 15 units is sold.!

Pretty surprised about the 370z sales. I have only seen like 5 on the road during the year and south florida is a hot spot for cars.

Well the economy is terrible and alot of people have lost there jobs. The banks are very critical of credit reports of buyers. Also many people are afraid of first year new models so alot of negativity going on in the market today.
Just glad I bought one when I did because I got exactly what I wanted and very happy with the car. |
