I personally think the base NISMO is very well priced in the Z range for what you get, especially when you compare it to the 2009 option range. Think about it - Sport + Touring drivers are all over this forum. If any of us were to buy a similarly equipped 2015 Z, the obvious choice is the NISMO. It's the same price as what a 2013 sport touring sold for, and only slightly more than a 2014 sport touring after the price drop.

The only problem is that while the performance of the NISMO is slightly better, it looks ugly with all of that stupid boy racer add on body parts. The only thing they could do to make it worse would be some fake CF contact paper glued on and fart cans.

If the next gen Z doesn't address some of the easier to solve complaints of the 370, it will be a different marque for me when I buy my next car. And while I will be over 60 years old at that time, I'll never buy an old man's car dammit !

Yeah, the 18" wheels are faster than the 19's for one. You will always get faster times with the 18" wheels. The base is also lighter. As far as brakes, the sports are better, but the rear spoiler slows down the car. Bridge-stones are ripoffs & I like Yokohama's better. AUTO!

How does the spoiler slow the car down? Is this on the sport?

Keep in mind the 18's run less rubber (245 vs 275) and have no limited slip diff. The spoiler does not slow the car down; Nissan spec for base drag coefficient (.30) is higher than the sport model with the spoiler (.29).

The base rear differential is set up better for the drag strip in comparison to the lsd

Genuinely curious, how is an open diff better for the drag strip?

I think the auto is great, but with the stiffer suspension offered in the NISMO, you may want an extensive test drive, especially if the roads are bad in your area.

Or you can be like most of us who DD our Zs and JUS DO IT because racecar.
