I've owned a Vette & it's not about how fast you drive. You have to keep the doors locked to keep the pussy out.

Guys,
First, I love both cars and am not a fanboy of any brand/model, but please don't make the mistake that these two cars are on the same "performance playing field", even with a turbo/supercharger kit, nor should they be, I could have bought two Z's for what I paid for the Vette. Now granted I have not driven or tracked a boosted Z, but I have seen a couple stillen SC 370's at my local track, and unless your doing a full build like SHAMU, I dont think that you would be able to keep up w/ a C7, point in case look at this years C&D VIR lightening lap, compared to the nismo Z, it was 20 seconds off of the C7 (370z was around 3:12, Z51 C7 was 2:53). Maybe stop light to stop light a boosted/built Z would beat a stock C7, but the Z is not a drag car, but the Vette isn't either. Both are very capable cars for what they are. I love both, have owned both and honestly if i could afford to keep both I would. In the end drive what you like, enjoy, then try something else, cars like these are what makes being a car guy great! my quick comparison Vette: - better performance - more comfortable for long trips, actually gets better mpg on highway - turns more heads (probably because its new, but this is a negative for me) - cost more - larger aftermarket, but pricey, although 500hp is easy with bolt ons 370z: - more intimate driving experience (also translates to less comfortable for me) - build quality appears equal or better than Vette - cheaper - after market is expensive (although look at C7 exhaust prices you'll be happy you have a Z) - not much power below 5K (real downer), i know fixed w/ boost - I see less Z's than Vettes (although right now there are less C7s than Z's but that will change) just my thoughts |

Doesn't mean the driver has balls though in a road coarse event. Just means he has a substantially powerful engine.

NISMO Z (pre and post 2015) are rarer than the common model. I've seen heads turn when one passes, because people are trying to identify it. They've got an idea in the back of their head they've seen the silhouette (it's still a Z after all), but not everyone immediately puts two-and-two together and determines the model immediately. I've even seen people in the parking lot, cheat and look at the rear trunk to find the giveaway Z mark. |

I have never had another 370Z on the track while I was on. So many Corvettes I lost count.
GTR owners seem to come to one event then never come back. Those that do return become such good drivers they trade in the GTR to get another cool car: ex I've seen two McLarens, a Porsche Caymen RS, and a GT3, just to mention a few.

My neighbor go a c7 a few months ago. It is a garage queen. Think it's been driven maybe a handful of times. But it is a beautiful looking machine.
