I finally did it!
After a few yrs of waiting I finally bought a 2014 370 zed😁
I have a friend who deals in whole sale cars (used or auctioned vehicle). I took a chance of going this route. The only thing wrong as I can tell is the bumper is missing. Its a Nissan dealership that were auctioning a bunch of cars. My buddy said it was a theft recovery and in the report said that there is no damage to the car. Hes also a mechanic so when he goes to pick it up hopefully what the dealership said is true that there is no physical damage . Don't know why Nissan decided to salvaged it. It seems clean and has 12k miles on it. But I'm a little worried that it might b worse than I think (but I hope not). So, I'll need to find a new bumper for it. I'm also looking to purchase an air intake. Can you guys recommend one. I've heard some brands here and there but I don't know which one is good. But I'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg as well. I was also thinking about making it able to take E85 fuel. My buddy said it would cost about 1k to do it. Has anyone done this to their Z's? Is it worth it? If not why? If anything else u guys or gals want to chime in plz do.

Congratulations! Im sorry cant help with the E85 fuel. But why would you be willing to find out how to do that....for 1k grand?
But you don't want to loose an arm and leg for a good quality air intakes? Used is somewhere like $350 to $400 such as a stillen gen 3 intake. Doest make sense to me? |

hmmm... I'm not sure I'd buy a car with a salvaged title. But it's your car not mine. Good luck and welcome.

Congrats on the car. Have your buddy check everything twice since the car was stolen and was most likely driven ridiculously hard by a moron for who knows how long.

FYI, a theft recovery may result in a salvaged title if the car was recovered after the insurance carrier paid for the loss. If depends on the carrier and the state. Hence, theft recovery vehicles can be good deals. Regardless, good luck with your purchase.

Don't know if I'd roll the dice on a vehicle with a salvage title, but then again I'm not much of a gambler. I hope that it all works out for you and you end up with a great car at a great price!

My car was a reconstructed title and its a beast but it was a side impact that caused the damage so nothing up front was replaced....to my knowledge

Well he's on his way to pick it up so I'll make sure he checks it. He said its still under warrenty. Not sure if its true or not cause its a theft recovery.
U r right its expensive to have it coverted to take e85 and not wanting to spend a whole lot on an intake. I didn't mean I want to go cheap but I guess I figured that I could get more HP using e85 due to the fact of the higher octane rating. I believe my buddy said that he has an arm intake. Not sure on what type but I've heard of that brand b4

You'll pick up more power with a tune, but unless there are tons of e85 pumps near you, I don't know if its worth it...
Best and cheapest intake solution = smooth tubes + K&N (or similar high flow) panel filter. Best and cheapest exhaust solution = Nismo H-pipe "take off". Best and cheapest cat replacement = ebay test pipes (if you can stand the rasp) or any set with resonators if you cant; next best would be HFC's, preferably resonated.
