Day Three- And finally found ONE thing I don't like about my Z :)

I wear flip flops or sandals all the time and for whatever reason...the black thing below the gas pedal where your foot rests is turning the back of my feet/heel black. Looks ugly. I'm sure this problem will turn out to be a "girl thing"

The rest of the car is FABULOUS :rofl2:

I'm happy to hear this is you're only complaint with the car!:happydance:

Btw speaking of mats, if you're looking for all season mats I bought a pair off ebay that I am quite happy with if you're ever looking for a recommendation.

It is really my only issue....There is another issue I've noticed but its not with the car...its with me. I want to spend all the time in my car and I need to remember I have three kids and a husband that start wondering where I am. When it takes you an hour and a half to go get milk at the grocery store...there is something wrong :driving:

hehe...ya, I'll be super cool to my kids but my husband is no dummy. He'll reign me in real quick. LOL

Nick911sc 09-29-2009 08:42 PM

Chuck Taylors = best driving shoes ever

And cheap too

cab83_750 09-29-2009 08:43 PM

I got tired of buying crocodile boots every 3 months. So now I wear tennis shoes all the time. No matter what you buy it will wear down your footwear.

Well that's a bummer...but a small price to pay, I guess. My shoes are inexpensive flip flops but I am really not digging walking around with a black spot on my heel....lol

frost 09-29-2009 09:15 PM

lol, totally not what I was expecting. I guess just buy more black shoes. :D

I only drive in certain shoes, though they are my normal casual shoes (80% of the time). When I go to work I drive in them and change when at my office, I had to go to some event a few weeks ago and it was in the high 90s here so I wore flip flops. I hated it so much, I took them off of course to drive but the feel of the pedals and my feet was just...wrong.

Side note, you might want to use the Signature feature rather than have to copy paste

LOL, I've become a Chuck Taylor/John Varvatos whore, high tops, own 4 pairs now :p

Pointman 09-29-2009 10:40 PM

Chuck Taylors, the classic lives on.

Try these

Piloti - Prototipo

Piloti's

Nick911sc 09-29-2009 10:47 PM

Cmon for $40 bucks you can't beat the chucks for driving! Pedal feel is amazing!

Sure beat the Puma's I have!

Piloti's are nice as well. But I can't just order shoes because I am forced to wear orthodics due to flat feet so buying shoes is a hassle for me.

Ya busted me...I'm still trying to figure it out. I'll work on that ;) I most of the time don't think I need one but then I see everyone else's and I feel left out!

:::slinking away to go figure out how to get a signature:::

so back a few years 5-6 years ago, I had a Suzuki Alstare Limited Edition, at one point I thought about buying matching shoes, but after thinking it over, EHHHHHHHHH---some gay thought it was...I never bought the shoes:

I just felt like I wanted to post about *something* on my new car..and so far I don't have anything to complain about except for that! I realize I'm in the minority here on this board, with my age and my gender LOL...my posts may always seem a bit "off" :rofl2:

Nobody will probably believe me, but back in the day...(think: 89ish) my husband had a GSX-R and I had a Ninja 600R. I just saw this picture and it reminded me of the good ole days. :)

It might have been 90-91ish...That makes me seem a bit less old.

Sandals for driving? - DANGER WILL ROBINSON! I tried driving in my steel toed work boots - not a good idea. I make sure I use shoes that are appropriate for driving in regardless of the threat of being locked up ;P ....

molamann 09-30-2009 04:19 AM

^
I only wore steel toed combat boots during the day and sandals by night for 4 years when I was in the military. :S

zZSportZz 09-30-2009 06:35 AM

Or you could just get....

so that means, hmmmmm, lets just say you were at least 21y/o back in 1990, then that means today you would be at least 40 y/o....if you were 25y/o then, then you'd be 44y/o now...so, what was your class song? hehehe...was it Def Leppard's Bringin' On the Heartbreak? or was it Motley Crue's Dr. Feelgood? hehehe

Red370 09-30-2009 11:45 AM

I'll never wear my Timberlands while driving ever again, cant even feel the pedals. Would have hated to be the person riding with me that day, worst clutch engagements ever. I second the chuck taylors, and/or Adidas Sambas. I also have some suede Pumas w/ hardly any material on the bottom, excellent pedal feel.

ckubojiri 09-30-2009 05:35 PM

Hmm...I wear slippers all the time and don't have that problem. I like the heelpads though. Might order me some too.

Def Leppard rocked when I was in school..So did Van Halen..lol... Now, my kids have me listening to hip-hop. I love all music.

But to answer your question, yes I'm old ;)

Red370 09-30-2009 11:35 PM
