Who Else is in the 5 Year Club?
5 years ago yesterday I bought my 370Z. I picked it up with 9 miles on it. Now, with around 32K on the clock, other than a few TSBs (seat, fuel guage, and steering lock), I haven’t had any real issues. It’s been a great all-around car, especially for a purpose built 2-seater…comfortable on long trips, cheap to maintain, plenty of room for cargo, good on gas without having to drive like an old lady, not much of a “me too” factor, looks great, and still fun to drive 5 years later. A lot has happened since I bought this car, including marriage and kids, so I consider myself very lucky to still have it.

I would feel lucky, too, in your situation. Congrats
We've got a little over 3.5 years in ours but almost double your miles  :driving:  |
5 year club owner! 47k miles only issue was CSC 5 years ago no issues since.
|
2010 Nismo 4 years and two months, 68,000 daily driven miles. hope to
join the five year club soon................ :hello: |
Same here... 5 years 5 moths. The 350Z was with me for a little over 6 years. Hopefully things get better next year so I can put behind the notion of selling the car. Still hanging in there...

I'm in a different 5 year club...
The 5 years (60 months) to pay off the Z club! :rofl2: |
May of 09 is when I picked mine up with 5 miles.
Boosted at 19k miles and now sitting just over 82k. |

Other than the other TSB not really, normal maintenance plus a little extra for the SC and that is about it. |

I've only had mine for 53 months...but I have the mileage of 14 years, does that count? lol
|
Got mine in May of 2009 and is still running great. I've got around 70k on the odometer, had the CSC go out twice before I replaced it with an aftermarket part, had the steering lock issue but that's it. I'm very happy with the Stillen parts, it's fun on the track and I hope to keep it for years to come.

I was in the five year club. Bought an '09 in May of that year. Traded for a '10 roadster in Oct '10. Traded the '10 for a '14 Murano this past May. That got me into the club!

I still have my 1st, 28yr club with my 280. |
I'm at 4.5 years so far. :D

Mine just turned 5 on 9/1. Bought new, I have about 44,500 miles now. No problems at all. I installed a pigtail to bypass the steering lock. Wore out the factory 19'' tires at 17,000 miles. Replaced with Michelin Pilot Super Sports, got about 27K out of them before they got noisy and the wear indicators were going to show in another couple thousand miles. Bought another set of the same tires. I have run it on Redline or Pennzoil Ultra with 5K OCI's and changed out the battery about a year ago as preventive maintenance and changed out the transmission and rear axle oil at the same time. I like it a lot but still find it uncomfortable for long freeway cruises due to the excessive noise level. I may end up having the whole thing Dynamatted soon, that would go a long way towards making long drives with a bunch of my favorite CD's a lot more enjoyable.

I parted with a Z32 in the past but this is my first new Z, picked it up with only 12 km(canadian) odo. I don't think I will ever be able to get rid of this one. |
blah. 3 year 29k. not as cool as most
|
5 year club. 24000 very hard miles on it.

3 year mark this month (Sept 2014) at 33K miles.

This thread is awesome it's so nice to see the Z is living up to its reputation as a reliable sports car. My last car was a WRX and while I loved it I was always in fear of getting the dreaded cracked ringlands.

I hit the 5 year mark back in June and she's all mine :). Got around 56,000 miles on her.
Repairs & Maintenance so far: -Oil Changes (Ester Oil x3 per year) -Tires (3 sets of rear/2 sets of front)(2 flat tires) -Brake pads (2 sets) -Brake rotor (replaced front) -Steering lock recall (under warranty) -Replaced instrument cluster for fuel level issue))(under warranty)(still an issue) -6-spd transmission replaced (gears grinding/syncros)(under warranty) -Replaced stereo head unit -Tire Pressure Monitor (replaced once by dealership...still problematic intermittently) Issues so far: -The Paint. It sucks! It's thin/soft and you have very little to work with when doing paint correction. I "burned" through a quarter sized spot after working on a small section that was etched/cracked by bird dropping that dried up using very little correction with a DA. -Floor Mats: The OEM they comes with are crap and didn't last very long, especially the driver side. paint is fine on my 5yr old (same with my 10yr old) :p clearbra is also a good investment though.
|
I was eligible for the 5 year club back in May. :)
