Unlock question
 

So, this may be a stupid question but here goes:

Is my/my girlfriends 2010 z supposed to make any kind of a "chime" or "beep" when unlocking with the FOB?

I know the single beep for each door when unlocking via the door buttons physically on the car, as well as the double beep when locking the car with the same door button. I also know about the horn lock confirm when locking from the FOB.

Are there ANY noises the car makes whatsoever besides the mechanical sound of the the locking mechanisms actuating when unlocking the car with the FOB?

Sorry for repeating myself, but i just want to avoid any confusion. The more input from anyone, the better. Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure, but I have a feeling that when the car chimes/beeps is a programmable feature. My car does not make any sound for lock/unlock when pressing the fob or the door switches.

Mine also does not make any noise. Good to know that I can change that. Is the noise just the horn honking?

When using the fob it's the horn. When using the buttons on the doors it's the chirp in the door.

I was it was all chirp. Horn from the fob sounds so ghetto.

Thanks for posting this! I was wondering why mine wasnt churping when I locked/unlocked it. This helped a lot. and easy.
