Ok, with all jokes aside, just be careful, anything less than a quarter tank reduces the life your fuel pump. The gas lubes and cools your pump since it is electric. Then you could blow your flux capacitor causing ripples in space and time.

So are you basically saying that at less than quart a tank the pumps are not fully submerged in gasoline?

Meh, just don't run it to bone dry over and over.

A gallon is more than enough to keep the pump cool and lubed (unless you make a hard long sweeping right and you get fuel starved)

It really depends, each car is different (fuel tank shape etc). The fuel pumps are pretty stout though. Pretty much what depoint said. All the people i worked with are picky people when it comes to cars. However they are automotive mechanics, some Master, or ASE certified. They always rag on people who keep their tank only a quarter tank full. But they are old school people. Cars are engineered with better knowledge than the older days
