I believe us ole school enthusiasts believe a real sports car has a manual trans.Thats the way they originated and it was a given through the years.I mean a sports car with an automatic trans is for the young techy's that never drove a manual trans for the most part. Some I see on here are buying manual and learning which is a cool thing.
The die hard sports car enthusiast track driving for the most part are driving manual.
Either way it is a nice car and alot of fun to drive.

^I have owned 7 sports cars - all manual. I once thought like you, but this will be my first auto.

I didn't intend this to be a MT vs AT thread. I was just surprised at how darn fast the 0-60 time was for the 7AT. 4.6s is very quick. That being said, I wouldn't give up my 6MT to shave a few tenths of a second from that time. It's too much fun to have the intimate feel of the car that an MT yields.

Don't worry about other people. Get what you want and enjoy what you get.

Just a heads up; don't confuse the 7AT with computer controlled, dual-clutch, sequential manual transmissions. Just an FYI...

No one can be happy just owning a Z! Always pissing and moaning about which trannie is better!

Not enough fiber? But be careful, too much fiber can equally lead to bad results. Trust me on this one.

I learned to drive on a stick. I think stick is cool. But in the 90's I learned about semi auto transmissions in race applications. I bought my 93 rx7 a manual. Dropped the manual out of it and put in a semi auto with a click shift. Which means I can shift on the floor or revert to a small stick on the side of the steering wheel. It looked like a stick for the blinkers but a lot thinner and 30 degrees below the blinker control.

That was more fun than the manual cuz I was more focused on handling than gearing. Which gives u a much bigger advantage in real world driving as well as lap racing.
