Which 370z model year is the best?
Hello All! I am new to this page and this happens to be my first post! Well, to get down to the point, I am going to be buying a 370z within with next month or so and I am stumped on which model year to get! I love that the older 370z models are cheap even with the sports package but I also love how the newer 2013+ models look like. Which year do you guys think is the best? Is there big benefits with the newer models? Is it worth it to get a newer one with a lot of miles or and older one with fewer miles? Does the sports package make much of a difference? (PS. I am looking at the automatic models because theres too much traffic here in the OC) Thank you guys!

I guess it depends, I like the older better, I bought the last year which is 2012, I do have Touring and Sport, would not have done it any other way. I love Nismos but they don't come in Touring, so buying one was a huge no, at least for me, matter of taste and needs.
Sports Package has the brakes, wheels, and rev match. If you don't plan on doing aftermarket stuff, I would get it with Sport. Check them both and see what you like, you can probably get really good deals right now. I do drive a 6-spd, could not do it any other way, but I drive against traffic both ways in OC |
i prefer the 2009-2012 facia and wheels.

Hello, in my opinion, I purchased my '09 just last year because I had to wait til they came down in price (since starting a family/buying a home) for me due to my budget restraints. I constantly was looking at all the models newer than mine to see the differences and what not, but in general they all are great. If you not going to do anything to it and leave it stock, then get the best version you can afford. Either way, you can't really go wrong with this car for the price. I love mine I got to say'

2013 because of original leds :D!

09 because it's the cheapest.
Seriously though, 09-12 because of the wheels and fangs look 100000000x better. |

I was debating on getting a newer vs older this summer... I settled for what I could find the cheapest. I wanted low mileage + sports pack and ended up getting a 2012. I love the front fangs. I do like the vertical LED and fog-light lamp on the 13+ models but the lack of fangs makes it look like ehhhhh
Since you're aiming at an automatic it may be cheaper (I've seen auto's listed lower than manual's for same year and similiar mileage). I know the older model's had a few qwerks but nothing that can't be fixed. Same engine throughout the entire production run so far. I personally would aim for a 2011+ with the lowest mileage. Most of all, drive the car and see if you truely want it or not! |
I'm going to predict that the 2015 Nismo Tech Coupe will be a very desired model. Especially that now you can get it with the automatic transmission with downshift rev matching. They just need to dump the digital clock for something like an oil pressure gage & add a back-up object sensor.
