The Elusive 370

My very favorite thing about this car, at least where I live, is that they are so rare to see on the road.

During the entire summer of Minnesota I have seen three 370's on the road. That includes quite a bit of driving in Wisconsin. It is crazy how rare this car is to see up here in this state.

This is why I <3 this car so much. If I had a dollar for every Camaro, Mustang, Evo, STI I've seen.. I'd be a rich man:rolleyes:

Pie 09-03-2014 04:42 PM

Much elusive. Very exclusive. Wow.

jaedub 09-03-2014 04:44 PM

Yeah. That is one of the reason I feel so special driving the 370z. Even though I live in LA, it's pretty hard to see the 370z (I see them maybe 4 times a week). I see a lot more 911s and Corvettes than our car. And every other cars are either Camaros or Mustangs.

Really? Onzedge sees dozens every day that he's in MN.

j/k! Maybe onzedge will provide a link to his series of sightings. Happy to hear that you're enjoying your Z!

Agree. Lots and lots of Z33s in SoCal but very rare Z34s

You must not be driving on the same roads that I am. I see probably see one a day, or more, on 408. Last week I saw four on my way home from downtown. Admittedly, that will probably never happen again. Sure, they aren't as common as the pony cars, but they are not super car rare anymore. I just wish that the ones I have seen were modded. Most of them appear bone stock. That's no fun!

colbysmith 09-03-2014 07:05 PM

I agree, theres only one more that I know of here in Fairbanks, AK! I also felt the same way about the Hyundai Genesis when I had one, not very common

:iagree: but he's known for obscene front yard activities and for being mean to employees.

On topic: i rarely see a Z here in southern Ohio. Love it AND hate it.

Hm that's pretty strange. I am out and about quite a bit and I just don't really see them.. I have honestly seen more Ferrari's this summer than I have Z's!! :roflpuke2:

I see a ton of those down here too. Much less rare than the Z. Which surprises me. I cross shopped the Gen Coupe and 370 with my first purchase and they just didn't stack up.

Aint florida and texas the capital for 370z's? That is my wild guess mind..

Also, right about the modding, the only modded ones I see are the 350. Mine is also stock :shakes head:

watson853 09-03-2014 11:34 PM

Texas is definitely not the Capitol for Z's lol now dodge rams and mustangs is another story.

I see a GT-R more often than a 370Z around here. Hard to miss the GT-R wrapped in bright purple.

I also perform obscene front yard activities from time to time. Not sure if I'm mean to employees though

MagmaRed370z 09-04-2014 07:01 AM

Same in Colorado. I have seen 2 since I bought mine 4 months ago.

Shadezz 09-04-2014 08:30 AM

Agree...370s are far and few between here in Colorado...and a Super clean S-tune black edition....forgetaboutit...

HEK 09-04-2014 08:41 AM

Here in town based on my friend who is a cop i'm the only one who owns one and I've seen only one rag top (lol) around :tiphat:

scottIN 09-04-2014 08:53 AM

I had the only 370Z in my town (pop. 20,000) for about 2 years. This summer, started seeing a white NISMO around my house. Guy lives like 2 blocks from me! Never have met him though - just see him on the road all the time.

Mt Tam I am 09-04-2014 09:35 AM

I see more of just about everything. This summer I saw 7 different Alfa 4C's and fewer 370Z's. The Alpha may not even be officially released in the USA.

For an inexpensive car, then 370 does seem rare.

watson853 09-04-2014 10:01 AM

The Elusive 370

Nissan only sells around 9000 a year in the states on average..

Justice97 09-04-2014 10:14 AM

I might see one or two a day in SA.

I do believe Nissan would sell more if they advertised. When I do get questioned about it people are shocked at the price and that it is a Nissan.

Spend 70K on a SUV for a one child family no one bats an eye. Spend 32K on a sports car and everyone loses their minds.

damian_mb 09-04-2014 12:19 PM

Yup...I live in the twin cities as well and I've only seen 2 Z's. Both black.

Saw a few at CarsNCoffee meet but that doesn't count. I want to see them on the road not parked :P

janglez 09-04-2014 12:51 PM

same in northeast ohio... that's probably why everyone about breaks their neck to get a look at my z... this one dude was steering where he was looking and about ran right into me... he lipped sorry to me and gave me the piece sign

NeoRacer 09-04-2014 03:38 PM

I might see one a week.

Mark1010 09-04-2014 08:06 PM

I see maybe one a week in my area (west burbs of Chicago - DG/Naper/Oak Brook). I know of two near my office that I see occasionally but not often do I see the odd one out and about.

mab864 09-04-2014 09:54 PM

I think that cool yellow dawg is having some mischievous thoughts!

daywalker 09-04-2014 10:14 PM

I never saw them until I started lusting after one of my own. Always works out that way. But even now around me in Raleigh-Durham, I see 1 maybe 2 per month! See more 350's actually.

When I lived in Chicagoland, I never saw any.

Limeybastard 09-05-2014 01:46 AM

Seen about ten 350s since April around me and around 4 370s.
A LOL moment was when I saw another magma stock 370 in my small town. Was going through i guess.

Just came back from my vacations in Las Vegas. To my surprise, did not spot any 370's, only 2 350's

Plenty of stangs, camaros, rams, f250s and ferraris :ugh2:
