My recommendation for those of you that happen upon this thread
1. turn on SRM and don't worry about any of this... SRM will rev-match perfectly which does a lot of things... faster / more efficient shifts, can downshift safely in corners, less likely to damage or wear parts 2. or leave it off and learn to properly rev match... that may indeed mean that you have to floor it for a certain amount of time to get the revs up... but... be sure to return the throttle to the appropriate position as you re-engage the drivetrain... do not simply 'release the throttle' unless you really know what you're doing - that can be dangerous if you are downshifting in a turn For those of you that don't like the slow responsiveness of the motor due to heavy flywheel, suggest you look into the JWT or other aftermarket flywheels which weigh ~half as much |

Really? I think the heavy flywheel makes it harder, at least when it comes to heel and toe, because you have to depress the throttle more to get the revs up, which can be challenging when half your foot is on the brake pedal. I much prefer being able to get the revs up with a less pressure. That's just my personal preference tho.
