Hello and Guess what?????
To all here I am a active member on Bimmerforums but had to come in and give you all some info..... I have a buddy with the new 370z and recently blew his motor. So.....our local dealer had nissan corporate come out and inspect the car and advised my buddy that the car shows signs of abuse!!!!! lmao WTF are those commercials they have on T.V with nissans going side ways. Lame Lame. Now I read that there is OIL temp issues which makes me think thats the problem since my buddy likes to drive his cars hard. What do you guys think about this?

I think this has been discussed about 2000 times already and if this becomes another "Oil Temp" thread, it's gonna be locked before the end of the day. So, in that case....IBTL.
Also, your "buddy" is a moron......thats why there is something called a "break-in" period. Even after that, who drives a car to the ground? He needs one of these:

Really staggered, we appreciate you joining up to warn us of a potential problem. No joke, the effort you put in was more than I would do for other people, so thanks again.
But yeah, we are all pretty aware of the issues with the car. |

Leave it to a Beemer guy to jump all over this... LOL
And yeah, his buddy's a moron. I'm not saying you shouldn't drive a car hard, but you should know how to use your gauges.

LOL! It wouldn't surprise me at all if the oil pressure was in the red, the oil temp was in the red, and the car was in limp mode and he was STILL beating the crap out of it...
"I'm gunna getcha! I'm gunna blow you up!!!"

We have no idea what his buddy did or didn't do. All I can say is 'thanks for the info". Unfortunately all car models will have engine failures and other mechanical problems. Life is short and we can't live worrying about every little thing. Those of us who own the Z should just enjoy it. If a bad day comes and our engine blows, we'll deal with it. Until then, there's no point in worrying. Not like I can give mine back to Nissan now anyway.
