We can't have a thread on here without extremist drama queens. Both of u guys need girlfriends or a hobby or somethin. Seriously dudes. RELAX. DUDE WHO GOT THE TICKET... SH1T HAPPENS. NO ONE IS PERFECT. SO NO 1 HAS THE RIGHT TO BE SELF RIGHTEOUS EXCEPT THE MAN UPSTAIRS N HIS SON WHO DIED FOR OUR SINS. SECONDLY. U BOUGHT A SPORTS CAR. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS EVERY NOW AND AGAIN. MY ADVICE, TRY FOR A DEFERRAL OR TAKE THE DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE IF OFFERED AS A RESOLUTION. LASTLY BRUH! BUY YOURSELF TOP SELECT RADAR FROM ESCORT AND OR VALENTINE ONE. I ALSO RECOMMEND A JAMMER. THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE U WON'T GET PINCHED BUT, BUT IT WILL REDUCE YOUR CHANCES BY 80% THIS $800-1500 INVESTMENT WILL SAVE U BUNDLES LATER. N don't stress these negatives in the forum always tag teamin on sum1 who is askin for help. Don't justify to or respond to them. Or they go on and on and on and on about how u bad of a person u r for speeding. Lol what a life to live? Lmao! |

That's like robbing a bank, and telling the judge you don't have that many years left to live at the age of 30, and to please reduce the sentence. Supra: You received community service? Did you have a lawyer with you, or points on the license? Last edited by carfr3ak; 09-26-2009 at 12:58 PM. |

VA is tough, but it really depends on the county. In my misspent youth, I got a reckless driving ticket Fairfax county, which is has to be the toughest. I was going 92 in 55. I didn’t take it very seriously. My license was suspended at first, I then appealed and ended up w/a restricted license for 6 mos.
Judges want to see you pay, as in pay for a lawyer. Judges were once lawyers. My lawyer was around $800, the actual fine for the violation was only $160 or so. Don’t fool yourself, this is a big deal. Get a layer. The cop will show up. Your previous tickets matter. Take a defensive driving course. Get you speedometer calibrated, then be prepared to have you *** handed to you. I pled no contest w/an explanation on my first time around, I plea-bargained on my appeal. You never know how it will end up, but prepare yourself for the worst and hope for the best. Good luck. |

dps, you think calibrating the speedo will matter for a 110mph ticket? |

When I was waiting for my case people were dropping like flies. People were lying and acting oblivious to their violations had the book thrown at them. Judges won't fall for that stuff. People that pled no contest w/clean records almost always walked w/just a minimal fine.

I guess we all learn from our own mistakes
from relationships to our trials in life to minor court cases like these after i was off the hook with my case, i hardly hop on the fast lane. i'd hop on the fast lane only to pass someone thats going unreasonably slow for who knows why & to avoid big trucks (hate em!) but yeah basically if the speed limit is 60, best believe im doing 55 now lol GOOD LUCK.
