I think the hate for the Mustangs is because this is the370z.com. You may find it bias towards Zs. Don't ask me why though.
You're not comparing apples to apples; by that same token a base GT with coil-overs, intake mods, big brakes and a tune will beat a Nismo for a whole lot less money. My point is that Nissan doesn't make a 370 that will handle any 'stang higher than a base GT, and even that's a stretch.

I get being proud of what you drive, but people still need to be at least somewhat logical about it.

For some of us it is NOT the faster car (Mustang) or the better handling one (Miata, FRS), it's the exclusivity that comes with owning a car, with the looks that come with the car. It's all subjective. We buy a car because feel good sitting in them.

There are always going to be cars that are better in one category or another. In one ranking, Miata is the best sports car, the FRS comes second, the Mustang is in 4th place and the 370z is in fifth. So what?

Sure the 911 sold more and that is because the Middle Class is shrinking, the rich go for European cars, the Middle Class is moving towards Cars under $30k.

Yes, I heard "the rich gets richer, and the poor can go to hell," in some wallstreet movie..

Gotta say, if you want a better Z package you can just upgrade those parts (to OEM parts, even!). Not sure there is a NEED to spend money on a new one.
