Lossed 600 lbs???

Today I'm at race wars in Hagerstown MD watching the local Street cars battle it out for. bragging rights. Today is the first time I've ever weighed my car since heavily modifying my car. The sticker on the inside of my door says my car weighs over 3900lbs (touring sport w/nav) but on the scale it said 3373. So Wtf ? I was hoping someone could shed some light on this

The sticker on the inside of the door shows the gross vehicle weight, not the curb weight.

The gross vehicle weight is the maximum safe weight of the car + any passengers and cargo.

I think our cars stock weigh around 3232lbs. Yours got fatter :)

I think that has a lot to do with my wheels and Supercharger. But that was also without my spare tire so I dunno

the sticker number is basically saying if 3232 + meatbags + meatbags' stuff < 3900lbs it is safe to drive the way it was designed. Otherwise, lose meatbag related items.

Is 3232 without gas? Cuz I had almost a full tank which has to be almost 100 lbs right there. Plus I'm sure the Stillen headers are heavier than stock and test pipes heavier than cats ect

I think that weight is with a full tank.

Curb weight is the car in drivable form. All fluids full.

Also, pretty much all aftermarket exhaust components are going to be lighter than their OEM counterparts. I'm not so sure about the Stillen headers, because they are of a similar design to the oem headers, but everything else will be lighter.

Looking at the mod list in your sig, there are several items that would have added the weight back on. You should be happy that you are only coming in 150LBS heaver than stock. The extra HP from the SC kit more than makes up for it.

The stillen exhaust system is actually heavier than OEM but also adds more in HP and tq so it more than makes up for it

i learned a while back ago that the sticker weight isn't what the actual car weighs lol. For a long time i thought that was the actual weight of the car :D

Well I'm glad I wasn't the only one! I knew it wasn't possible for me to loose 600lbs but i was confused

You can lose a good bit of weight, but it will drastically change the car. There was dude at Z1 with a fully stripped and caged interior and he said that it dropped 500 LBs.
