Yeah, gas pedal died, steering went stuff and I was like f****ck. At least I was on a sidestreet and not on the freeway. Wondering if it's a bad idea

At least I was on a sidestreet and not on the freeway. Wondering if it's a bad idea to get another OEM pump if that's the problem. I don't think I have much of a choice, though. It's at my mechanic and I don't have time to go find an aftermarket pump to bring to him to get it replaced quickly.
