dumb question
Can you put the sport package on as a after market item? How can you tell if the base model has sports package? I found one with a small wing. ..
|
Bigger wheels (19")/bigger rotors and better calipers are the easiest way to spot it

But basically what Grindkiezer said. |

It's just cheaper for you in the long run if you purchase aftermarket parts honestly... |
No, you cannot.
It is next to impossible to add Synchro-rev after the fact. |
Doesn't the Sport model also have an LSD?
|
On an MT only the Sport will have the synchro rev match and it pretty much cannot be added to a base. Look for the S-mode button to the right of the shifter. On the AT models, you can pretty much install all the Sport package parts yourself on a base. No one will ever know.

Just spend the extra 3k. I think its worth it. Sports package Z looks much better than straight up base, imo it looks like a egg

The money is well spent on the sports package. Avoiding the cost now means paying more later.

At the end of the day its still not a sports package! |
:(
Wow all this end of the day talk is depressing. You could have an aftermarket wing on a base, too. The best way to tell base vs. sport is, as stated I think, to look for S-Mode next to the shifter. If it does not have that, it's a base and it is modded. Might still be a great car though, you never know. :) |

Yes, the sport pkg also includes a viscous lsd. Also, if you have an AT, there won't be a sport mode button. You will need to by a different transmission ti get the synchro rev match. I asked this same question when I was looking. I got the sport pkg. It was cheaper than trying to go aftermarket. |
