The oil cooler won't do much as the engine itself is still taking in hot air. I ran supercharger engine setup before and I can definitely feel a large different in engine response between morning on the track and hot 110 degree weather at the end of the day.

Driving from LA, Glendale to La crescenta, I've always noticed that my oil temps hover around 190F-220F. Mind you, in our typical weather. However, does turning AC on help with temps other than your interior?

I never understood how the cold air intake works... considering that the whole thing is a metal tube, wouldn't it be worse on a hot day as opposed to a plastic airbox?

Turning on a/c doesnt help, and the theory behind cold air intakes, like the G3, is to relocate the intakes further away from the engine (cooler air).

Really dude? Its not a spam post its actually relevant advice. This happened to me recently. We know the Zs TPMS system is not really to be trusted. Mine is malfunctioning I need to take it to the stealership to get it reset.

My car was feeling rather sluggish, I normally check air pressure every time I fill up. Well I got lazy and didn't check it for about 3 weeks. I decided it was time and found that my rear left tire pressure was showing 10 PSI yikes! I filled her up and voila car feels brisk and perky just like before. Now I need to see if my tire has a puncture or something, prolly does for it to get that low.

Anyways sometimes these kind of issues are the most obvious problems and get overlooked because they are so obvious.

So like I said before, if you haven't checked your tire pressure recently go check it right now.

I had the Stillen 19 row "street" oil cooler installed. My acceleration problems, limp mode etc. where 90% cured. If the oil temp goes above 210 it starts to feel a little sluggish. This happens in traffic on hot days. If your moving and air is circulating through the oil cooler, the oil temp stays right around 195 even on hot days. I think the computer is the culprit. An UpRev tune is my next step in making this car run the way it should.

Uprev tune didn't really help cure the problem. I had the fans increased and it seemed to help a little but I still get that bog on accel when oil temps get to 180+

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1434793689.534025.jpg heatwave has been coming through here in SC, this was s couple days ago after work...same day on 40 mile trip home-lingered between103 & 104....yesterday was 102 & felt like I had a fat girl riding with me.... Smooth/ but bad air... Anyone know what max oil temp is...because engine stays below half (dots...) but oil temp creeps up to 240 & seems like car just loses power- still revs and everything/ but like 20-30 HP less. Y'all have a nice day.

The only time I experience enough "sluggishness" that other factors could be thrown out the like weather, is when I am forced to use cheap gas like Sunoco, any grocery store brand, valero, etc. When I go to use MOBIL or SHELL on my next fillup the difference is night and day, quicker throttle response car feels more "excited". I don't know, just something that I have definitely noticed without a doubt.
