It started peeling with 3 weeks or so after getting it brand new. So I got a reputable company to redo it Austin where I live and did not roll down the window for 10 days and now about a month later it is starting to do it again.

Sigh, I have never had this happen before. Could it be something wrong with the actual window, if not it means it was done incorrectly twice.

I'd like to know who it was. I had mine done by Millennium Wraps and the first time, they didn't tint far enough below so it started coming up. I took i back and asked them to redo it and have not had any issues since.

I would at least take it back to the shop who originally did your install (assuming it was fairly recent). Any decent tint guy should be able to see the issue, figure it out, and redo it correctly. If you want to be sure, do what falconfixer suggests above and remove the trim piece before you go. Or at least talk with the guy and make sure he understands what the issue is and does it right this time.

Imparting knowledge on the installer isn't a bad thing either. Maybe the next 370Z that comes in, he gets it right the first time

I wouldn't just throw the installer under the bus like that. It's a common problem with the Z read the sticky that someone posted. Then after reading the sticky make sure you remind yourself and the installer to take the extra steps to prevent this from happening. Pretty easy solution to a minor problem. Plus if it peels they'll fix it anyways.

But the first post was about an installer that's messed up twice, I believe. If they can't get it right the second time, that's a crappy installer. However, the simple fact of the matter is it is an easy solution that requires minimal effort in passing along some information to the installer

*edit* nvm... looks like the OP didn't give the first company a chance to fix it. But I'd like to know what "reputable" company he used second. I would go back to them and explain the issue and have them fix it.

If the installer knows what they are doing, It will be cured in a day with this hot weather and not have an issue when you roll it down.

It is a place called Sunbusters on Duval/183... When I say reputable it was one of the top I saw when I searched. And there was a corvette and a m5 being done when I was there.

The first time was done by whoever the dealership had do it in Houston.

I appreciate the info on the easy fix though.

Hm, they are very reputable. Sorry for your luck, OP. I'd go back and give them a chance to correct it.

Not sure if it's already been stated but I'm pretty sure this has to do with the window dropping and raising every time you open the door.

This is a common issue. Happened to myself. Multiple threads about it.

It happened to me too, all they did to fix it was when they were cutting the film they left it about a quarter inch longer in that corner so it can go farther down. since doing that i haven't had any problems with it. so no need to take the door panel off and all of that.
