On the other hand, my car is running beautifully and is basically the same car though everything inside and out is 4 years old. There are times when I am tempted and then there are times when I would miss those $9000 when I can think of a vacation or something else that I could spend it. Knowing myself, I doubt I would spend on anything else and so it would go in my retirement funds.
Under 100 miles on odometer? If it isn't far under 100, it isn't a new car IMO--it just hasn't been sold to anyone yet.

What are the reason(s) stopping you from buying the new car? Something is obviously holding you back.
