SQUEAKING sound from driver side !!!!

hi, ive read some older threads on this but with no solution. i hearing the squeaking sound, im not sure if i can hear if i drive slow which i never do, but when i drive fast and go over a bump and also speed bumps i can hear the squeak and i cant tell if its from the front or rear, but it sure sounds like its from the driver side, im wondering if its the shocks or coils or w.e it is you call those springs. and i wonder if 10w30 would be ok to spray on ?

Is your car all stock?

DEpointfive0 07-24-2014 02:37 PM

I THINK it's your seat belt thingy. That's what it was on mine... Killed me

yes its stock, bought new, 2012, 14000 km, dont drive during winter unless roads and side walks are completely SNOWLESS.

maybe i need to go faster? or turn up my tunes even higher, lol.

its definitely not my seat belt

My seat belt arm used to squeak, and sometimes the back of my seat will squeak on the rear shelf.

You too?! mine used to come and go, but lately it's been squeaking more often, it's right by my ear so it's been annoying the **** out of me

I would have it checked out on a lift... Your safety and your Z are important...
Then the second part of going faster would be safer. Then again I'm not
a real doctor...

Wow, I thought I was just being picky, but that annoying rubbing sound right in my left ear is killing me....and of course it's only while moving, so not like I can find the exact spot to address the issue

You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means. :icon17:

Wow! I know what you mean :excited:

I have a squeaking, right down annoying sound coming from my passenger side.

I fixed it though, I bought same FI test pipes and exhaust. My wife doesn't like how noisy the Z is now so she doesn't ride in it anymore :stirthepot:

Problem solved

OP, is the squeak more noticeable driving with the windows open? That may help you pinpoint it.

its the left side, its annoying the holy ship outta me.

my windows were down, and i couldnt pin point it, i hear it at every single bump, even at slow speeds for speed bumps, makes it sound like a cheap car.. so embarrassing, i think ill have to get a friend drive my car in front of me or vice versa to find out where its coming from.

but my question is will that 10w30 stuff or w.e its called be suitable? i rather use that myself if i can, and instead of taking to a shop
