front fascia cost?
Long story short, my girlfriend wanted to clean the inside of the car. We have a vacuum that plugs into the lighter port. Although with are car i think you need the engine running to have power. Anyways she doesnt drive at all, she started the car and it stalled...slamming into bike. Not having luck with the car vs bike...couple weeks ago i had the bike parked next to the car...either the wind or a bunch of kids knocked it over and dented the left side of the car. Anyways this time...both fairings on the bike will have to be replaced, the stand is broken. The fascia to the car is cracked where the fangs are and snapped the part where the bolt/screw goes into on the fender liner...and then another bolt at the bottom. The fascia is also twisted somehow and wont go back in to place.
Anyways, does anyone have any idea what it costs to get this part replaced, trying to get a hold of the dealership but parts is closed and im trying to get a hold of the guy that sold me the car but he is busy. Bike is going to cost me $1500-2000 to fix (replacing the front cowl and mirror that broke the other week and now the 2 upper and lower fairings and the stand) Bike can wait until the spring but i need the car fixed asap |
Wow, your luck sucks!
The part itself is only $350 or less... It's the paint work that costs money. While your doing this, just don't paint the fang area. (Ask me how I know about this cheap mod!) |
perfect time to go aftermarket...

As for painting the fang area, no offence but i hate that. Find it a Evo rip off....alot of people with cobalts do that same thing and i think its stupid. Little update. I got the fascia to go back on, its cracked in 3 places (small cracks). 1. lower lip, dead centre is cracked. 2. right next to the driver side fang where that plastic black piece meets the rest of the fascia. 3. Driver side screw hole for the screw that goes into the fender. Screw/bolt still secures it but that part is cracked. The car has the least damage, the bike requires a upper and lower right fairing, upper left fairing, kick stand and im hoping its just the gear shifter and not the whole tranny...but its hard shifting up on the bike. Makes a weird noise |
