The Z gets 18 hp while the GT-R gets 55... The monster is way more important then the beauty =(

cooltoy 07-08-2014 10:48 AM

You mean the Nismo versions.

Halo car...

Besides, its easier to just bump up the boost and make power.

The new trims definitely make sense, aside from just dumping the base model and replacing it with the Sport.

theDreamer 07-08-2014 01:18 PM

Interesting they have a 2015 Roadster listed, I thought reports stated the roadster was done, guess not.

6spd 07-08-2014 01:20 PM

One last hoo-rah before redesign

Limeybastard 07-08-2014 01:27 PM

Lol. They are still making it. Well they had to i guess as the 2015 nismo was already been unveiled. Glad to see they somewhat less complicated the trim levels.

Anyone know if the price for a 2014 nismo will go down when the 2015 nismo comes out? If so by how much? planning on leasing a 370 w/sport package, so im not too sure how much more expensive the '14 nismo should be

NoLaKrewe 07-08-2014 04:56 PM

Man. I'm in the crossroads. I want a 370z badly, but I wonder if I should attempt to wait for the redesign.

Well if you want a new 370z the time to act is within the next year, as the redesign might not be a 370z ;)

I see what you did there. I think I would be regretful if the car got redesigned into some sick machine. But then again, I'd be regretful if they redesigned and it dropped down to a 4 cylinder turbo like a few sites have rumored.

That would be cool considering their is a Nissan close to me with 7 nismos. I wonder how cheap I could get them to go.

cant compare a 45K car with a 164K car

b15 07-08-2014 09:51 PM

Wonder what the new non-nav headunit will look like. I'll bet it has a small 4-4.5" color lcd screen.

Seems like the Sport tech just a new name for the Sport + Touring + tech packages of years past.

NoLaKrewe 07-08-2014 10:07 PM

I wonder if they going to add a new color.

RXDoc 07-08-2014 11:14 PM

I'm anxious to hear what the "revised suspension tuning" consists of.

People compare a 911 TT-S to a GT-R all day long :icon17: Price isn't always a barrier to a proper comparison.

Many people compare apples to oranges, doesn't make them good comparisons.

i read that for the japanese market it is no longer available...

kenchan 07-09-2014 11:09 AM

looks to me nissan is trying to use up all the remaining inventory of parts on this 2015 model year to introduce a new Z in 2016.

kenchan 07-09-2014 11:53 AM

be funny it came with two steering locks. lol

DIGItonium 07-09-2014 12:28 PM

Since my lip kit is mangled up, I'm looking forward to fitting the new NISMO bumper and side skirts. I plan to modify the front bumper by eliminating the openings for the DRL and taming the lower air dam. The side skirt is a nice change. Overall, it needs a nice subtle lip kit. I'm keeping the rear bumper, but will add a diffuser. Hopefully fitment is easier than the previous NISMO. We'll see...

I might just leave my motor alone and invest in an electronic boost controller and give it a dyno tune. Hopefully it doesn't pop ;)

kenchan 07-09-2014 12:53 PM

digi- your car is STILL for sale, no?

Any color. I really wish they hadn't discontinued the blue and yellow I really want one of those. I don't really like any color on the Z right now. So I am hoping a new color comes out that will force me to buy a Z.

I gotta know. Why is it Granma red? Do older women like the color or something?

Kenchan made a comment about the color being found on old ladies cars and I just bring it up every now and again. :tiphat:

Walking out in the parking lot I noticed a granma car that under the lights had a lot of orange metallic very similar to magma red. I tried to get a pic but granma car didn't really show its true color. I hadn't noticed the similarities until Kenchan said that and I see it a lot more now, the jerk :icon17:

That midnight blue is so sexy.

That is the only color I am considering thus far on the current lineup.

elixxur 07-09-2014 11:15 PM

Ugh Auto Nismo Z? Really? That's still bothersome to me because the Z is so much better with a true stick. To be able to shift by using a third pedal it's just so much fun and rewarding since driving stick does require skill. Plus you can sit without your feet on a pedal rather than pressing on the brake the whole time.

I bet the next manual Z won't be around for a long time, look at what Porsche did, isn't the caveman only available in Auto now?
