That is why the thread started July 8th. 3 weeks ago. Although I originally only read the OP's blurb, I do know the difference between a week and a month. :owned:

It took nissan until the model year 2015 to implement BT in base audio? HAHAHA:roflpuke2:

For the sake of safety this should have been done standard from the intitial get go.

I guess in that case were back to comparing apples to oranges...:rofl2:

Am I missing something, or other than black wheels, all Nissan did for the non-Nismo Z was restructure how they define various option packages...?

Am I the only one who feels like BT isn't needed in a sports car? I know forums are always full of everyone's wants but what is practical. I read about people wanting more electronics but then the same people want the car lighter. You can't have your cake and eat it as well. I don't own a Z yet but will be purchasing one in October. The first thing I'm doing is ripping the radio and speakers out. The Z will be my sports car. The car I drive for fun and excitement. The last thing I want to be doing whilst hitting the winding back roads is be on my telephone.

I agree with you on BT, but that doesn't mean I don't want to listen to music while driving

If you just want to rip the backroads in a shell with wheels then why are you getting a Z? I'm not being sarcastic.

I'm definitely not a general conscious and I am far from normal when it comes to the Z heritage. I've wanted a Z since I was 13, now I'm 24 and about to get one. I want to hear that engine purrrrrr. I want to hear those sexy exhaust notes. I want to hear all the crap road noise New Orleans has to offer me.

I don't want a shell, I want a Z. What do I want in MY Z? A lot less weight and a lot less distractions. I really don't need music to make me comfortable in a car I've waited over 10 years to own.

aszyd 07-31-2014 07:38 PM

You can have your cake and eat it too. Buy an FRS and drop in an LS motor. Lighter than the Z and depending on the engine, more power. If the weight distro is off, just add a couple subs, you'll still probably come in lighter than our cars.

We can debate on the best engine swap later...

Dude you're hardcore. LOL I'm getting back in a Z next year. I'm from NO and I don't know of any good roads; only roads that'll rip the underside of the car apart. I'll try to hit you up when I'm visiting family.

I'm with you on this one. When I lived in Germany, I lost count how many times I drove to and from work with the radio off. It wasn't really intentional, but as soon as I heard the VQR5HR with my Nismo CAI, Nismo CB, with Berk HFCs, there was nothing else I cared to listen to.
