Surprised to see so many Zs in Yongsan Korea
There is one silve NISMO Edition, 1 Amuse Sport, 2 Sport, and a few 350s on base. I was shocked. The NISMO has the Mower Axle license plate adapter on it. Good to see that I could make a difference on the forums! Unfortunately, my NISMO is back in the States at UPREV.

Now since the years for Tours of duty in Korea have changed you will see more USA Specs cars in Yongsan and Humphry/Osan....
During my years in Korea you rarely saw a US Spec car...

Did 2 short tours there and I wouldn't drive anything besides a shitbox Hyundai or Kia with the way they drive over there. Pretty cool that there's enough SNCOs and officers that have too much money to spend on body repairs. Unless it's changed and now junior enlisted are allowed to drive there now

Only if they are command sponsored. There are a few vettes here as well. I am guessing SNCOs and/or Officers.

Just curious if you are in the military and assigned overseas
Are you allowed to import your own car and be exempted with import taxes from that country? Is there such privileges? |

It is a fairly complicated process thanks to all of the guys who brought in R32-R34 Skylines without doing the paperwork properly. If you own the vehicle AND the vehicle already meets (or can be made to meet) US Safety Standards and pass US Emissions testing, then you can bring it back through US Government Transportation. The trick is having a Registered Importer to sign off or actually perform the modification that brings the car into US Safety and Emission standards. There is also a time limit associated. The paperwork is straight forward, but MANY people chop it up. Do a little research and you will find everything you need. I got most of what I needed from the NHTSA website.
That is the shortest answer that I can provide.......lol

I agree with falconfixer, there is No way I'd drive a nice car over there.
I was there for 18 months and bought a cheap *** Kia to drive. I got bumped into twice on the bumper. Crazzzzzy drives over there
