Getting into a Locked Z with Dead Key Fob?

When I got my 370z new at the dealership, I got two key fobs but no actual keys with the car. While I don't currently have any problems, I am thinking ahead to the situation where the key fob battery dies and I need to get into the car. I know the key fob can start the car using the fobgina but getting into the car is what concerns me.

Do I need to ask the dealer for a key? Should one have come with the car?

The keys inside the FOB. If you look at the back of the FOB you will see a little slider, slide that and then pull on the side with the key ring.

The key fob is also a key itself. Look for a tab on the back of the fob, depress it and pull down towards the bottom back of the fob. A key will pop out. It should open the door with a key?? Then again I havent had to do this but it worked on my other cars. I also used to lock my glovebox during valet with my old car.

There's a key in the fob. Just turn to the back and there is a small button you press that will release the key.

They must have not given him an owners manual either.

The dealer didn't give me mine. I got home, looked in the glove box and nothing. I had to call them up an bit... complain. They said sure stop on by. Dude was 75 miles away. While I would love to drive back, it's all freeway. No thanks, send it. And it actually showed up!

Oh yea ... for the topic... yup, key in fob.

Check the secret compartment behind your passenger seat, that's where I found mine hiding, instead of the front glove compartment like my other cars..
