2012 370Z M6, Silver, Touring Sports Package, Nav, Camera, Sports Suspension Reason for selling: Blind Spots, M6 not fun to shift for a guy in his 40's (and ATs are getting much more advanced), Depreciation and knowing when the next model comes out I am screwed more, I felt embarrased driving my "sons" car. I put it on CL, AT, and here with 0 responses in 2 weeks ![]() not even a low ball offer. I make a quick decison to take the offer from Carmax and run. I am looking at a luxury coupe like a Lexus or Infinity I can buy for cash. Last edited by Troyz; 06-25-2014 at 02:48 PM. |

$194/mo for a low miles used car driven 1,277 miles per month (aka 15k/year). Not bad, all told. I think you made a great decision to Carmax it. And even with your disappointments, you had a pretty good car for a budget price.

They never test drove it or had it inspected. They opened the hood and said "Still under factor powertrain warranty...ok talk to you in a minute..." Needless to say it will need front pads and ofcourse rotors. The clutch has more than normal wear and tear
![]() Its trade in value should have been $23,000 (Depending on the car lot) atleast thats what I was offered. I was shocked at the offer. Last edited by Troyz; 06-25-2014 at 03:03 PM. Reason: They never test drove it |

I'll be 48 in January and I just got my 2014 370z last month.
As far as it being my son's car when I got my Infiniti G35 6MT Coupe three years ago so I was 45 at the time. One woman at work said why did you get a 2 door you must be going through a mid life crisis, how fast does it go, did it come with those wheels etc. That's freaking envy dammit. When I was buying sport bikes a few years before that I'd hear the same crap, people are going to talk mess no matter what especially those that are envious & jealous. I did not get the 370z to regain my lost youth, pick up chicks or to look cool. I got it because I've always wanted a Z since I saw the 280/300 Z's when I was younger. I like the level of performance for the money spent and it looks amazing. I have a SUV so if I need to haul people they can climb in, the Z is my toy. Its fun to drive, moves like a cat and roars like a lion. If I go for a leisure drive in my SUV its like drinking flat beer, I'll jump in the Z get on a road and drive just to see where the road goes. The level of excitement and relaxation I get out of driving the Z is very close to when I was riding motorcycles ![]() Yeah I'm going through a midlife crisis it started when I was 25. ![]()

Yeah if I had to keep the car stock; I'd not want to keep it.

Are you kidding me? My 370Z is my fourth Z and I still have my original 1974 260Z. Forties too old to shift? I'm in my 70's and on a good day can still figure it out!

Troyz, Nothing wrong with getting a Lexus or Infiniti. I did it as well in mt 40's. Now that I'm in my 50's, I realized that driving a car that makes me feel good while driving it, is what it's all about.
The comments of mid life crisis or did you buy that car for your son, doesn't bother me one bit now. I enjoy my 6mt sport Z with an exhaust, every single time I take it out of my garage ![]() Maybe we'll see you back here when you turn 50 ![]() |
