Update: So the mechanic said he suspects its a rotor or brake problem with the stuttering saying that if the car had bent arms in the suspension my car would sway in the direction of the bend? Is this true? And he also said even if i get an alignment if i hit a pothole it will just mis-align again. Truth or False?

If you had bent arms the car would and could pull in a direction. You sure he never meant to say of you get allignment done and then hit a pot hole again then you would need another allignment?

This would not cause a steering wheel misalignment though. I'm betting something misaligned or bent in front end. Translational energies from whatever crunched rear. Stranger things have happened.
