Just a gripe/complaint
Ok so on August 18 i purchased the GT Motorsport 2.5 cat back exhaust for my 370Z. The guy i talked with on the phone said it would take 7 to 10 days to be made an then shipped. It is now a month later and as of wednesday when i called for the 10th time it was finished being made but hadnt been sent out. The salesman said they wanted to use it for testing on there Z with the new supercharger set up and i said i wanted it shipped NOW. Well now its friday and my account at GTM doesnt show any change and i have not recieved email verification of it being shipped either. So i guess i was wondering if anyone has had issues with this company and what would be my best bet should i just wait it out call and get a full refund and purchase an exhaust from Fast Inentions or Stillen or any company that will get a product out in a timely manner. Just never had this issue with a dealer before and kinda feel at a loss right now.
Thank you |

Wow, I'd be pissed if there's any exhaust fumes on an exhaust I paid full price for!

I would take the number from that company and place FAR it away from me if I were you, as I said previously too many red flags. :inoutroflpuke: |

I can understand if there was some kind of prior communication between you and the company and you approved. But this is terrible and a hell of a way to do business and treat customers. To those who read this should be a fair warning and a big red light to stay way from this company if that is the way they do business! I would tell them to keep it and shove it where the sun don't shine and not pay and if you did already pay file a complaint against them. |
A product used for testing should be 1/2 - 3/4 of the price. Glad you posted this so people know who to stay away from. Get a full refund and be done with this now. If they won't give it to you, have your CC company reverse the transaction.

At least, it's common amoung the reputable vendors on this site (that I've seen) |
GT Motorsports is pretty reputable. I am sure every dealer has rare issues with customers and you happened to be one of them. I would just get a full refund back. If you were really considering buying the product over the others you listed, well I think you are the first (that I have heard of on this forum so far) to pull the trigger on it and this was your experience. Get a refund and either save it until someone else buys the same or get something else. No sense in keeping because aftermarket parts are never an investment and you will only lose money trying to sell it to someone else.

GTM is pretty reputable. This situation sounds rather . . . odd.
|
ya this do sound a bit odd. GTM has a good name. I think they should chim in here and let us know their side. But as it stands now the situation sounds bad. If they want ot use your exhaust to test then they bette rbe paying you.
|
Ok well i got off the phone with em before i went to work and was told that he had still not yet sent the exhaust out and that it was still being finished being fit tested now cause it had some clearence issues i dont know i just seem to get a new excuse each time i talk with the guy he said he would have it here by friday of next week now i have never delt with them before but im just kinda at a point where i have waited this long i was just letting people know seeing if anyone has had a similar experience with the company

Is it George who you've been dealing with? Not sure if you've seen this thread, but GTM has been busy developing a turbo kit for the 370Z. If you look at the videos on page 15, they appear to already have their exhaust on their test vehicle, so I'm not sure what the deal is with clearance issues. I'm under the impression that they already have their 370Z exhaust developed. http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...velopment.html

Unacceptable...unless there was a failure in communication.
|
Thanks for the heads-up. Very strange indeed. They seemed like a good company, and if this is true...its pretty much a wtf moment for me.
|
If you really want the exhaust, I would demand a significant discount, as 1). It is now more than a few days late; and 2). It is going to be used by the time that you recieve it. If they refuse, tell your credit card company that you dispute the charge, and additionally file a claim with the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org)

First of all, Sorry for not meeting your expectation, our Goal here at GTM is always to offer our customers a superior products and customer service I Yould like to clerify a coupple things reagrding your transacation . -When you called and order the exhaust, We told you up front that the exhaust have to be made and test fitted before shipping , Unfortunately we ran behind in our fab department due to the release of the twin turbo kit and trying to finish the supercharger kit before sema . -We are not trying to use you exhaust for testing as you posted, Our R&D car that we use for fitment testing is the car right now that is getting the supercharger kit fitted and that what cause the delay for your part. -When you called on Friday we offered you a discount for all delay and we told that we will guaranty the exhaust to be there Friday so you can make you event and you seemed ok with that At this point i think the best thing to do is to issue you a refund which i will do today and i will call you tomorrow with that confirmation. Again sorry for not meeting you Expectation Sam |
Case closed, methinks.
