Bringing this thread back - anyone try the Ikon duckbill? I like how it doesn't stick out as much as other options. Wondering about fitment and different angled photos (online ones from Ikon are pretty limited in viewing angles).
There's this seller on ebay, Xpert Tuning, which sells the Ikon style duckbill pre-painted in any OEM color: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fits-09-18-...53.m1438.l2649 So hoping there are some positive feedback people here can provide. |

I went with the duckbill from Dar, out of Texas. They paint your spoiler as well and then ship it to you. They had great service and even sent me a replacement at no cost since mine had a defect. You can find more duckbills and guidance on my thread Texas Drifter Style Spoiler https://www.darspoilers.com/products...r-spoiler-2009 Last edited by ColtronZ; 07-27-2018 at 11:06 AM. |

With or without the template, you'd still have to eyeball it and ensure the template or duckbill are lined up evenly, using the hatch's brake light. If it doesn't have a template, have another person help you, on person holds the spoiler or template, and once aligned evenly, the other person uses painter's tape to outline the corners, top and bottom.
Look up 350z and 370z duckbill install videos on YouTube. There are also plenty who simply used 3m tape and didn't drill any holes. If you opt for this, ensure you prep properly, and get those 3m adhesion promoter wipes, they sell them in packs of 3 on Amazon for like $10.Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Tapatalk |

Oh and if it doesn't have a template, you can put something like a piece of tape (loop it around so it mimics a double sided tape) and this way when you place the duckbill to test fit, the tape will stick to the trunk. Then lift off the spoiler, and use that as a marker to drill your holes.
For me, I plan to install the duckbill with double side tape, and then drill from underneath with self Tapping Screws, assuming mine doesn't come with a template. Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Tapatalk |
