What did you do with your Z today VI (ON TOPIC DISCUSSION ONLY)

Change the fluid and see what happens. I would suggest to suck the old fluid out of the reservoir, wipe the nasty out with a paper towel that doesn't leave

Change the fluid and see what happens. I would suggest to suck the old fluid out of the reservoir, wipe the nasty out with a paper towel that doesn't leave lint, refill and gravity bleed it. I use Motul RBF 600. It has been working great. You will need to change the fluid again at the next oil change/3000 miles.

trust me I plan on changing it. I'm going to order a stainless steel line also so I'm going to wait for that to arrive. Until then I'm going to rock the winter beater

The dirty fluid is from the OEM CSC seals letting go. Unfortunately it's very common for this tranny. I lost mine at 1,200miles on the car. The OEM replacement lasted until I replaced it as part of my turbo build at 43k.

If you are emptying the master cylinder then it's highly recommended to replace it too. It's basically a one time use item.

I was reading that, since it's brown, it could just be because it's old fluid that has boiled. I have no idea if the fluid has ever been changed

I flushed most of the clutch fluid. Emptied the reservoir, filled with clean fluid, pumped the clutch ~100 times, emptied the reservoir again and repeated until the fluid remained clean. Now I know it won't be a full flush until I use the bleeder underneath but this changed most of it.

Today, I washed 9 hours of rain, and road grim off the Z. It rained almost all the way home from ZDayZ. I also found a piece of someone's tire stuck in my grille screen. Who ever I was following on the Dragon must been chucking a tire. And I had some black marks on the front bumper and hood.

Tomorrow, I have to clean out the inside. Have cookie crumbs, nuts and snacks that got dropped during the trip.

Today is May 25th, 2017. Exactly a year ago, I purchased my Z, on May 25th, 2016, with only 14 miles on it.

Something I've been wanting to do for a very long time is some suspension stuff.

So with that in mind, and as a little celebration of sorts, just a few minutes ago I ordered a set of ARK GT-S springs, SPL rear camber links, and SPL lockout bolts. So a little more attitude with a little less altitude.

Needless to say, I'm a bit excited.


One last thing I would like to possibly do is maybe some small wheel spacers just to being these Nismo wheels (and stock tire sizes) out a touch further. Need to find out what sizes would work.

You're gonna have people chime in who's been there & done that w/their Nismo...common fitment is +20---+25 up front & +10---+15 rear.
Your factory wheels are +40F/+23R.
So 15-20mm up front & around 10mm/R,
Wait till after your suspension mods/alignment & make a plumb line on level ground-then measure up your gaps....you may want to be conservative or aggressive.
.
That would be my recommendation,so you can get the fitment you desire.

Did z1 post maf tubes + k&n drop ins, installed swift springs and 20/25mm spacers! Also put in backup camera integrated into the oem navi over the weekend. Will be doing test pipes and exhaust soon.
