Did my regular oil change & while getting under the car I noticed a large chunk of fiberglass has broken off... 1/4" makes a lot of difference Need to raise the front but will have to wait until next week

Installed a 25 row setrab oil cooler today and holy crap what a difference in oil temps. Went from seeing temps regularly go up to 260 and above down to seeing max temps of 215 after an extended amount of spirited driving, loving it!

Yeap, just installed the FI oil cooler kit for a 2012 or higher. I was always seeing temps of 220 with just normal driving. I am now at 180deg with a 34 row Setrab oil cooler during normal driving. Went on a 4 hr trip yesterday, oil temps stayed at 180-185. Super happy about it because it was an extended drive with speeds at 75 and up the whole way. Now I can stop starring at that dang gauge.

I've considered adding a cooler, but I worry a 34 row might overcool.

Then install a 25 row. That's what I run and it does fine in the summertime. Temps are usually around 180 driving normally. Or, if you install a 34 row, just block off part of the cooler in the wintertime, if need be.

I got the Mocal thermostatic plate. 180 at the gauge is 200 coming out the motor to the cooler. It's cool outside for me right now. I don't worry about cool oil as much as I do overheated oil.

By the way, the FI kit removes the factory oil heater/cooler.

Same for me except a little more extreme....i was seeing 240 and above with just regular driving and 260 in stop and go traffic....best investment ever

To Spooler's point, definitely get a kit with a thermostatic plate.

What's it like in the winter with that 25?

Default Oil Cooler?

Just wondering? Everyday driving now. With the oil temp lower with the cooler, how does that effect the designed engine temp, in regards to combustion (gasoline burned fully), sensors, etc?
Thxs
