I work in Morrisville/Durham... live in Fuquay. Surprised you are hibernating your Z here. Being a Chicago native, these NC winters are laughable. Z isn't my DD but I expect to be driving it through the winter on the cold/dry days.

Stupid q, but where are your stands mounted? Using a puck and factory jack points? I've seen threads and pics but when I'm under there, can't ID a good flat spot yet. Used a brace convergence point for my diff oil change, but not optimal...

This thread has some good info: Using Jack Stand...where to contact point?

I usually just drive one front wheel up onto a piece of 2x12 laid flat which gives me just enough room (at stock height) to access the front garage jack point with my low profile jack. I use a regular hockey puck when I use the garage jack points, and I have a puck with a slit cut in it for use on the side pinch rails.

Thx, JAR...will have a look. Haven't had to raise the front yet, but planning to use the same point as you and the rear is easy using the diff... Just struggling to settle on good jack stand points so far.

Oh, keeping to the rules... I opened the Z looking for my micro USB cable this morning. And should be getting tint this week. W00t!

Yes... you have to modify everything to make this work, including cutting up the stock diffuser to make room for the 8" quad tips.

I put it away cuz the tires are crap in the cold. Don't need to chance it. Plus I just put some All-seasons on my SRT Grand Cherokee, so I'll play in that on the cold/dry days.

I generally use the pinch rail for my jacks, but I have used the frame rail on Ms. Pint's car because she has side skirts that cover up the pinch rail. If I can today, I will take and post a picture of where I have placed jack stands.

Today I protected the Z from freezing rain by leaving it in the garage. Thought it would be for the best.

Just put spacers on a few days ago..20mm front 20mm back (both bolt ons from Z1);

Front wheels had seized, so could only 20mm in back Friday..Z finished Spacers by TaroBaapG35, on Flickr

Then with the help of Firestone, and a quick $10, they unseized front wheels, put spacers on and retorqued rear wheels.

And on a side note, seems like the guys there havent seen a 370z...They were all crowded around the car and helping me decide if I wanna go with RE-11s, S-04 Pole Positions, MPSS, or AS/3s...Since this car is my "DDiish, and Charlotte weather isnt that bad, i might do S-04s..idk..

I swapped out my Advans for Blizzaks a couple of weeks ago. The rear wheels on mine had stuck too. A couple of whacks on the tire with a rubber mallet freed them up quite nicely. I hit the mating surface on the wheels with a surface prep pad on an air grinder, just enough to take off the rust, then put a light coat of CLP on them before bolting them on. I'd be real leery of the 'mechanics' at some of these tire places. I've seen them throw torque wrenches across the floor, strip lug nuts and break studs...

I had juuuust about decided on doing 20/25, but looking at your 20s I did a 180. 25 in back is too much for me. Yours look proper. Thx!

Appreciate that man. One of my biggest concerns is when I need to get the whole car on stands. I worry that when either the f/r are up and I go to the lift the other end, the car slips off the stands as that's the pivot point ya know. Probably better to do l/r sides in that case but still need solid points.

I saw that thread you linked and actually got the idea to use a that rear brace as my stand point from that.

So, how was your experience at Firestone? The one on Park around Woodlawn? I live extremely close by but never felt good about taking it there, but I'll reconsider if you were satisfied.

Well, if you're not going to lower the car (As I am not going to), then 20/20 will be perfect.BUT, keep in mind that my car also has Michelin AS/3's in the rear currently (stock size: 275/35/19) and there is a bigger "bulge" in the sidewall then the stock Bridgestones RE050's that are still in the front. ALSO, if you're planning on changing to ANY Michelin's in the future (larger then stock tire size), then be prepared to switch out spacers to smaller sizes when you change the tires. For me, there is still too much poke in the rear, but I think I'mg oing to stick with the 20's in the back. LMK if u need pictures at any diff angles.

My initial experience with them (Location on Harris Boulevard going Towards Northlake Mall), was absolutely Sh!t. They broke the fan belts and chirped the tires when i had JUST installed AS/3s on my 05 G35. So, safe to say I was pissed off. BUT, I had to get the front wheels unseized since it looks retarded driving with spacers on back and no spacers on front, so I took my chances at Firestone again. THIS TIME, I went to the location on North Tryon (University Area) near new Walmart & Across from Discount Tire, and they were GREAT. The GM Steve Smith (LOL) was very chill and he let me in the bay where the guy was working on the car, which they pulled up right beside the waiting room. The Mech was awesome as well, very thorough, and he was very patient with me, as I was literally hovering around him to make sure he doesnt damage anything or install the spacers incorrectly..BUT, it cost nothing, and the guys there were very professional indeed...kinda surprised me tbh. No offense to anyone who is employed thru them.
