I have a long drawn out story about how I found my current cutter on the east coast. Moved from WA to DC. Got a crap cut from haircuttery, went back to WA to visit and got the crap cut fixed by my regular WA cutter and she suggested her friend who went to the same beautician school and now lives in DC. Lo and behold, she worked 10 minutes from my house. That's the short version. No more crap cuts.

Got a new set of Nitto Motivo, smooth and quiet ride, great looking tire, but no grip, they scream like a cat and again, no grip, they basically suck. The OEM Bridgestones were much better in terms of grip and they aren't even that great compared to other tires, I am bringing them back to get something else.

Try out the Nitto Invos - they don't have the best grip out there but should be worlds better than the Motivos. Plus if you DD, the Invo rain performance is unmatched. I used them for several years (though I am on RE-11s now, which are light years better when it comes to dry performance).
The OEM tires suck for grip vs wear value. There are much better options - Michelin PSS, Bridgestone S-04, Continental DW Extremes. Stay away from the Hankook V12s. Just my

The RE-11s were used (I bought an extra set of wheels) with numerous track days on them (less than half life left in the rear and ~half life in the front). Even at that, they pull 10-15 mph faster around every high speed curve I drive regularly than the Invos could when new. I'm pretty much expecting the rears to last another <5K miles (equating to not quite twice the tread wear I experience with the Invos). I'll be going back to Invos or trying the S-04s or Conti DW Extreme afterwards because the way I drive the car I can't really justify paying more for less tread life.

Diff oil refresh
Cold ( for E. NC ) and rainy today. Perfect day to post up in the garage and swap diff oil.
I'm a shade over 5k, but only 600 of that are my miles as I bought "used" and was surprised that the oil wasn't that bad at all. Based on what some of what I read on here, I was expecting straight sludge. Nonetheless, happy I got it in and don't have to worry about it for a while. Loving my new low profile jack, too. Tomorrow, we cruise!

Got my huge RE11s 275/305, removed the bolt-on spacers, and went for a nice drive through Angeles Crest, it was cold, wet, and foggy, man that was the greatest drive ever. The car was absolutely planted, thankfully it was not raining, just wet from last night's rain, so I had tons of grip.
