There is a product out there called Goop. It comes in several varieties, but look for marine Goop. It holds better than any adhesive I've tried.
My dad had a trim piece that wouldn't stay on his truck, and he was using the adhesive Ford supplied with the piece. Goop did the trick. (Of course, the truck was stolen after that, but I don't think the goop contributed to that.) I've also used it to glue mirrors back on windshields. I always keep a tube around. Kirk B. |

Did the first service at the dealership: oil drained and checked, engine cleaned, new oil, other fluids checked, suspension checked, tires rebalanced and rotated, firmware updated, and they detailed the car.
Took about an hour, and was all covered under the service contract. Very pleased. |

Not quite what I expected, but I guess not bad for 115,000 miles.

I just told them to leave them alone.
I grew up being told that radials would separate from the tread if you reversed them. I don't plan on testing the theory..... Kirk B. |

Yeah well, that didn't work. Plus the fact that we're in the middle of a drought right now, and late last night, it decided to rain of course, so the tape didn't have a chance of holding...

A few further thoughts on the subject...
What would be the benefit of swapping g side to side? The inside of the tread is still the inside of the tread, so no advantage to reduce camber wear. The rear tires are still on the rear, so no advantage to reduce drive wheel wear. Any unusual wear patterns mean you need to get something fixed, and swapping tires ain't gonna fix it, so...... Did I miss anything? Kirk B. |

Now if they actually did this I won't know until I go look at the tires, but I don't have any reason to doubt them (yet). |

Did they actually dismount the tire from the rims so that for example say before the rotation, the inner right front tread is now on the outside left front?
