I have 4 running vehicles and 2 parts cars (240Z).
I would have more if I had more space. Mrs. Dr. onzedge™ lets me do anything with vehicles, but they have to have 4 wheels.

no im 34 but have a serious car addiction. and not all those cars were new. a lot of $500-$1000 back in high school. I would get one fix it up drive it for a few weeks or months and sell it buy another do the same etc. I had a little business out of my garage.

I love my Z, obsessed on getting one. Got it two months ago, but here are my gripes, and they're big to me.
1. Engine harshness, vibrations through clutch pedal and shifter make it feel unrefined. Makes me shift sooner than later cause I feel like I'm way up there in RPMs. That's a big complaint for me. Feels unrefined in that regard, almost like I have solid mounts. 2. Feels kinda slow, acceleration is ok, just doesn't feel like a low 13 sec 1/4 mile, low 5 sec 0-60 car. 3. Drivetrain noise, trans makes noise when u let go of clutch once it engages in neutral. You can hear the trans spin once you drive. If you have the door open and turn off the car it sounds like a tractor being turned off. But the car soaks up potholes and bumps way better than I expect with no rattles. Handling is sharp, fun to drive, feels solid. |

My 280ZX had a very nice tranny, extremely smooth compared to the current 6mt's. Like I always tell people, my 1978 Datsun B210 and my 1980 Nissan/Datsun pickup had a far better MT's than Nissan uses in the Z's.....................and that’s sad.

I'm really surprised how many people complain of the noisy ride...I don't think it's that bad. Of course I've played guitar for 30 years. My only real complaint is that I really don't like all the attention it gets. I hadn't thought of that when I bought it. My next car will definitely be more stealthy and might have to be an auto....I can't believe I said that, but I'm so old my knees are getting arthritic and sometimes in Chicago traffic my clutch leg gets a little sore. Naw....I'll never buy an automatic....I'll take public transportation if it comes to that.

All you ******* complaining about clutch rattle. Nissan must have copied BMW as all the stick bimmers I've owned also has this. Basically in neutral depress clutch pedal noise goes away. Effin normal coz race car lol
Only shite I got with Nissan is trim and body quality control. Seems like Ray Charles was on their payroll. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk Last edited by Limeybastard; 06-20-2014 at 11:28 PM. |
