CSC debate

So how many people just change to aftermarket CSC and how many delete the stupid device. The cost to delete is like $400 for the kit compared to new CSC

Default CSC debate

So how many people just change to aftermarket CSC and how many delete the stupid device. The cost to delete is like $400 for the kit compared to new CSC under $100 I think then the cost of 5 hrs of labor$$. Good Time to do clutch also? What is the most logical attack if you are going to keep the car for about 6 yrs. I already bought the SS clutch line. What is the census? I am just planning ahead since this is the weakest link. No problems yet at 58K miles and Its my DD.

I have a '13 with 5700 miles and my clutch pedal has already been to the floor. I've got HFC's which don't have any heat shielding like the OEM ones. I wonder if additional heat increases the problem. I had mine towed to the dealership and they put in the higher temp GTR brake fluid. They also covered my tow bill. The clutch feels fine now. If the pedal goes to the floor again, I'm going to order a HD CSC and see if I can talk the dealership into installing it over the stock part. If that doesn't work, I'll have it done on my dime. It's driving me crazy. I love this car but I hate the CSC issue. I rarely do hard starts and have never done a burnout either so it's not like I have abused the thing.

All the dealership is doing is cleaning out your dirty clutch fluid. The fact they put GTR fluid in there is incidental. Clean fresh fluid has less water absorbed, hence it doesn't boil as fast. I've heard anecdotal evidence that the GTR has a higher boiling point but I've never seen a comparison between factory fill clutch fluid and the GTR clutch fluid (Both probably DOT4). I'd say if your driving is causing the clutch fluid to get dirty enough to need replacing already you probably will be needing a master cylinder or slave cylinder soon.

There are guys on the forum that have had 3-4 CSC/Master combos replaced, and guys with upwards of 60K on their car with no problems.
Mine has 22K on it and is 09 and same MC and CSC from factory.

mine is 5yrs old. i dont plan on doing anything to my car's csc.

my other car is 10yrs old, original owner. people said that car had a weak csc as well... not doing anything to her csc either.
