MPG is honestly the last thing on my mind with my Z. At least I do better than my wife's Armada

All of my driving is in city and I'm lucky to get 16

the armada is like a tank... it gets what like 10mpg?

I think you probably nailed your own concern at the beginning, you are at elevation the car will not perform as well. Since being boosted, I can definitely tell the performance difference when I drop below 2,000ft. 14 to 15mpg is the norm for me on my commute, if I want fuel economy I drive my GMC 4x4 diesel to work and I will get a couple more mpgs LOL!

i honestly don't even want to look at the mpg cause it's not that good on gas, i always have the outside temp displaying lol

Great minds think alike, as I have the temp on it as well.

I used to get 22.5 mpg. Once I installed new wheels and intake it dropped to 21.8...Still happy with the numbers.

Too bad the same is not for my GT-R. If I go 80 or a bit more I get like 20-21 MPG if I am lucky and I have to go 70 or below to actually get the EPA 24 MPG.

Not that I really care about the MPG that much but I am curious how the numbers differe so much in real practice for the cars considering the highway difference is only 2 mpg (24 vs 26)

This is a great story. :icon17:

One trip to NC from Florida, I averaged 27-28 highway at 80mph and got almost 500 miles to a tank. With my '13 auto, I got about 20 combined. With my new '14 sport/manual, I'm getting 21-22 combined but its still got less than 1k miles on it. The best average I ever got was when I was modded.

Plus 1 more reason for mods!

Exactly right.
2009 6MT - still have it.....all breather bolt ons you can get.
My mileage got better after the mods.

I will drink fuel like water after a while with stop start heavy foot driving.

Occasional long drives constant speed will drop the fuel consumption and even things out. Make an afternoon of it 200 miles will do wonders.
