I guess some of you guys bought a sports car to granny it.

I don't try to drive for good MPG, but I have tracked it using Fuelly since the very first fill-up. Now, 50 fill-ups and 11,500 miles later, my average is 22.9 MPG. I don't baby it, I just have a lot of highway between my house and the office.

Luv that 5-0 comment. Mahalo from HI

I'm at just over 2,000 miles, primarily interstate & highway. ~23 mpg.

So I purchased a 2013 370 NISMO on 15 Jan 2013, It recently got totaled on 17 April this year. My gas mileage avg 18.7 mpg, and my gauage would show appx 325 - 350 miles to a fill up. I just purchased another 370z NISMO 2014, im averaging low 17.6 mph, and a fill up shows 310 miles to the tank. A friend mentioned to disconnect my battery overnight, to let everything re-set and compute for altitude changes from Clovis NM 4,295ft to Albuquerque 5,355Ft. Does this make sense ? and are there any dangers to disconnecting battery ? other than having to reset clock, garage opener etc.. Thanks for suggestions and help

I'm in Albuquerque too with a 13 nismo, but my numbers are significantly different. 379 range on fill up, 20.1 mpg with 19.4 mph. And by no means do I ever granny it lol. I want to know if its my UPREV econ mode at work so please post your results after you reset it.

If 21 is all you guys are getting on the highway, how in the heck did the government rate these cars at 26 highway? Being pushed? I thought the EPA was more accurate.

If it's all highway, then I can push that 26, even 28 - well, before my exhaust. I'd assume it's about 23/24 now with the exhaust/HFCs. Haven't done one in a while, but I did see an avg drop in mpg after the install, and it's been consistent for a year.

great feedback.. I dont think I will do the battery disconnnect, will just wait. I did howerever try the start then off, then start a few times. Will see what happens. Im due for a fill up today. Seems like Im always at the pump with this Z vs my 2013 Z.

njobe89 06-05-2014 08:58 AM

i have a 2013 and i'm still always at the pump lol, but granted i drive about 100+ miles a day

KMO-II 06-05-2014 08:58 AM

WOW, those are some great numbers. I get on mine here and there to and from work, 40miles round trip, im at 17.6 mpg, and fuel range at 320 miles tops.. ugh...

njobe89 06-05-2014 09:00 AM

i used to drive an rsx-s to work and back.. i usually got about 30mpg, i miss those days :( lol

quickboat 06-05-2014 09:14 AM

I would say too that changing all fluids to synthetic would help a smidge. I just hit 21.8! Yahoo!!!!

KMO-II 06-05-2014 09:32 AM
